@SONMAYA - From where did you get these figures? On CG, the numbers are quite different. Could you pls help in understanding this.

There is Difference in HNI FIGURE BECAUSE OF MARKET MAKER FIGURE...

@PKRAJ IMO sir I am encouraging the retail investor to carryon applying SME ipos as the one who are getting many ipos allotment definitely having many demat accounts and huge amount invested by them . Trying to say that overall return of those getting many allotments are not up to the mark for which they applied but have no choice except to keep on applying for a return of 7 to 8 % of there capital as in addition they get Appx 6% from there bank so in all there return comes to 12 to 14 % in all .

@PLAZA You are absolutely correct from every respect. Return on investment depend on Luck as well. As far as more demat account and applying in more lots is not possible for all investors and specially for me. I don't have more account and more financial. All these points result in no allotment.
As a senior citizen I have different strategies for investment in comparison to young generation born with silver spoon, with higher education and better opportunities benefited them more.
As far as my views, I believe to use the available funds in 25% share market, 25% in property, 25% FDs of different duration and balance for family welfare. We are on our own support system and not dependent on our children. The present generation is busy in their own affairs. Specially when the parents staying in small town, cities, their children are not with them for their future either in big cities or abroad. The time is different and so they are also right.

@PKRAJ You are absolutely right of your comments and views and for your knowledge I am also self made professional person and going to attain 60 age on 28th July this year . So matter is this how one allocate his fund is depends on his requirement and regular earning capacity / avenues . But as far as stock market is concern now a days there is no ceiling as far as allocation is concern as this is full of liquidity and within 48 hours one can get his money in a single basket of bank till .

Good to learn that you will also be a Senior Citizen on 28th July. I am going to complete 71 on 27th July. I am a pensioner.
Very good that Senior Citizens are also there in this Forum. @abc xyz is also a Senior Citizen. Might be many more. This is a good Forum of all ages. To learn with young fast and learned generation is good gesture.

Thank you for considering me as a senior citizen and including me in your forum.
But the fact is that still I have not reached that level. But after 3 years, yes I will be definitely including in this category. I am living with so many elders and have been watching their pain, so I can realize it and can express it very well. Secondly at present I works outside the country. But hope with the help of Super mighty God we will certainly meet in India at appropriate time & place.

@PKRAJ An off topic query. I see many people saying here applied 20 applications, 30 applications. So, is it that they are applying through different 20/30 PANs? We are family of 4 so we have 4 accounts and I can apply maximum 4 applications. How come people have these many accounts? I have funds but not got any allotment from last 30-40 IPOs applied.

@Noobtrader  I am in a same boat. From March 22 to till date, zero allotment.

@Noobtrader Ignore the people with 20/30 different accounts.
If you have funds start applying 20 or 30 lots from your 2-3 accounts, it has far better chances of allotment than someone applying 20 retail application( how they manage 20 demat accounts and bank account is another mystery)

I have 5 demat account with unique PAN.
Should I apply 5 Retail applications or multiple lot 5 HNI applications ?
Which will have higher probability for allotment considering both categories are oversubscribed

I will apllied 45 lots

@jcg : you can apply similar amount in multiple hni applications if possible, as per amount availability....for example: 3 lots from each account or 5 lots from each account or 10 lots from each account....

Joined with 2 applications of 45 lots each.
