Its a pity seeing the retailers being so enthusiastic on an IPO which is not worth its salt. Don''t know when they will learn. They will keep on losing money in junk IPOs but would still invest. Like a nashedi n a gambler.
I have not applied in infibeam RKS ji and Septa ji.
1. In 2015, my ipo success rate was 100%. I dont know fundamentals, much but by following opinions of seniors like you, Eagle Eye, Pinky jain, others. I avoided QH, precam, pennar, navkar, CCD. I did not get allotment in TLS and NH. Others were syngene, pushkar, vrl, alkem, all wree 100% successful for me. I hurried up in Healthcare global. thats the mistake I did. Lets see how it lists.
2. In secondary market, I am losing. Lost in Yes Bank, Axis (475 to 430 levels it came). If People have lot of money, they would not flip flop. All they want is supplement income. They buy thinking shares will go up, and news-based rumors, but the reverse happens and go in red. Secondly, most of us dont have full time dedication to study very deep in shares. RKS ji also squared off when markets went down last month or so. News is driving market and actually, there is no government backed developments or actual growth industrywise. This is what I have seen in this one year of trading. One other mistake i made was, I used to buy 100 shares at one go, and later when the share dips, I dont buy. Secondly, I thought 2008 story would repeat and sell in panic and not wait. This is what some seniors all did, but somehow they are able to recover and I dont.
I agree 100% with both of you. Septa sir, what is "law of averaging"
Shivajee, law of average is that u stagger ur buying over a few months to few yrs. Like for me Eicher motors. Bought 100 at 154, 20 at 600, 10 at 1500, 10 at 2500 and sold allat 20000. See the law of average gives tremendous returns if udo it correctly.
Thanks for replying Rajeev sir. Great! Your Eicher example is very good, but this scrip seemed to have been bullish, grown very good.
1. How did you identify its going to be bullish.from 100 to 20000..?
2. I had purchased 100 Axis bank at 475, then some 25 at 445, but due to bad market news, all stocks came down and I had to sell them at 3765-70 range fearing that it might become 250 or 275? What do you think I should be doing in such conditions.
i). Whether I should buy small quantity at first...ii) keep on buying over few years?...iii) What is your strategy if we buy shares all at high index and then suddenly market falls like in 2008?
3. What stocks do you suggest at present with bright future like Eicher (smalll priced stocks)
Secondly, septa sir mentioned "law of averaging and herd mentality" in negative sense. Looks like he means people average and lose!!! Is this what he meant? Can''t get Septa''s idea...
Law of averaging if meant in a negative way means u buy at higher price and then keep on buying shares as it keeps going lower in the hope that the average price would come down to a price where they r able to exit at a par at least. Not a very hood strategy. It might work sometimes but mostly it backfires.
Sorry for the delay. I am going to suggest names of shares who would do well in the long term. Ur investment could be one time or in SIP. However for better returns do ur own SIPs. Invest some amount in monthly installments in the selected few shares listed down. Best of luck. 8K Miles Software Aurobindo Pharma All Cargo Logistics BEML Brittania inds Cadila healthcare Cantabil Retail Dr Lals Pathlab Eicher Motors Emami Force Motors Grasim Gateway Distripacks HDFC Ltd Hero motocorp Isgec Hy Engg IndusInd Bank Jamna auto Jmc Projects Mindtree SBI Suzlon Sun Pharma TCS Tech Mahindra TVS SriChakra Yes Bank Zensar Ahuluwalia contracts

vow! Your Eicher example is very good, but this scrip seemed to have been bullish, grown very good.

This is not a rising stories...hni don''t likes sunsets co....since its 10 years old company but no significant growth .....snapdeal was very little 4 years ago but now 2nd in ecom. era.....market always punished such types of promoters who gives full page adds to loot people rather than growth advertising....
Afaik snapdeal and infibeam are not direct competitors. Infibeam is shopify kind ecommerce solutions and support platform and snapdeal is a retailer. Both are differentiated. As far as getting more users, ask any VC, they would say it''s a solved problem. Throw more money get more users in no time. latest example Askmebazaar.
Mihir it doesn''t matter to retailers here if infibeam is a shopify or retailer sort of business model. But for him, in a layman''s language all these sites r e-commerce sites. N as far as that layman is concerned u r too small to be making any difference in the industry. Intact infibeam is a disaster waiting to happen. I won''t be surprised that in a few yrs this company might be forced to shut shop or might go for n M&A by other bigger e-commerce companies. Let''s see what the listing is like now.

Dear septaji Please share one large cap best stock for monthly SIP of Rs 5000/ for 12 to 15 years. Apart from infosys which i already started SIP six months back. Please consider bonus and dividend history of that stock. Thanks.
If u want to do Rs 6K SIP monthly, put 1k each in 6 different sector. Say IT, CG, BANK, FMCG, AUTO, HEALTH.
All sectors may not perform at same time. So investment can be covered by gain in 1 sector. Say during high inflation, banks will u/p but FMCG will perform better.
Current e commerce companies valuation and hype remind me dot com burst in year of 2000. As this is 1st company so what I understood this will give some return at initial level. there are several companies left in to market who want to list.
Virat, VCs/PEs heavily funded Flipkart/Snapdeal/Ola initially with basic premise that global leaders won''t enter india and local leaders will flourish. But that has clearly proven wrong with Amazon/Uber dominating Indian market now. Hence the correction in valuations of these companies (see..heads rolling at Flipkart/Ola). Actually there was never a bubble the valuations are correct and ecommerce will grow by leaps and bounds in India, just that it will mostly in hands of Amazon and niche players now. Flipkart/Ola etc. will consolidate and bought over by Amazon/Uber. I don''t expect any big bang ecommerce listings in India becaof indian stock markets passion for profitability. Therefore I''m more bullish on only niche players like craftsvilla, shopclues (unstructured products), matrimony sites, Infibeam (clone of $3 billion US company shopify.com and other digital and ticketing platforms) that can go for successful listings. Therefore one must invest in this sector only if you understand it well and patiently stay put.
As of Indian market is not having capacity of absorption capacity for e commerce sector but gradually this will improve the situation. Current valuation always looks pricy and not impressive, you can not calculate p/e for loss making company but every time this typical calculation never works.
Indian market is not fully developed and still growing stage. Generally, consolidation takes place after saturation of market. As of Indian market is not in saturation stage.
Mihir how much have u applied? U have been a big supporter of this IPO. Let''s leave everything aside n talk shop. Let everyone know how much u have invested in this IPO. Or have u invested at all. Or just here for manipulation n influencing people out of their hard money?
Dear Boarders, Can we apply at lower price band if we don''t want to miss any possible listing gains? Is the issue not worthful even at lower price band? No worries if I don''t get allotment as I apply thru ASBA only. If all our chittorgarh boarders take a collective call and apply at lower price band for such overpriced issues and if the IPO don''t get enough bids at upper price band, atleast we can ourselves and avoid risk naah. Ofcourse, Im not sure how much percentage chittorgarh boarders are out of the total investors who apply in IPO!! But still our board members can make an impact I guess :-)
Most of bid came in at higher price band. http://www.bseindia.com/BseGraph/charts/BarChart.htm?id=1082&Flag=BIPO&Comp=INFIBEAM%20INCORPORATION%20LIMITED
Total Issue Size 1,25,00,000 Total Bids Received 1,13,32,744 Total Bids Received at Cut-off Price 9,74,542 No. of times issue is subscribed 0.91 at 12.01pm
Is oversubscription an indicator of premium listing? I do not think so. Why investors or speculators are waiting for subsciption figures to apply? Totally illogical!
Recent IPO such as PCL and QH were oversubscribed. They are below issue price now. Hence, I maintain that it can not be taken as an indicator to fully rely on. It can at the best be an indicator of wishful thinking. One has to look at several factors before taking an investment decision in an IPO. Most important is your risk appetite.
Don''t forget Rpower oversubscription , still hammering......

Dear Chitra, PCL and QH were not oversubscribe much. Many retail public see if the ipo is oversubscribed by around 5-6 time till 1:00 PM on last day, they assume it may oversubscribe around 20+ time before closing and then they apply. 4-5 times oversubscription is not a good oversubscription.

I meant 4-5 times over subscription after closing is not good. So if by 1:00 PM on last day ipo get oversubscribed by around 1-2 times, retail assume it may oversubscribe by around 4-5 time before closing. And it is not a good figure.
Whilst we are on that subject Interglobe with 6x sub figures gave listing gains and QH which was 4 -5 times ovesubscribed by around 3 pm which eventually was 10.5x subscribed gave listing losses
