My dad worked in SBI from 1966 to 2001, 35 years of service. He also worked in PNB. He used to say that he should have stayed with PNB or accepted another offer from Indian Statistical Institute.

next few days you will see many first timer posting good things about infibeam.... it has already started.... IMO given lead manager moving out the risk is high and no anchor investor better avoid the IPO
72.9. Diviyas Kotak |   Link |  Bookmark | March 19, 2016 1:48:53 PM
No one will get large allocation and that is good sign for the company and retail investors
72.10. Nikunjmayin |   Link |  Bookmark | March 19, 2016 3:19:16 PM
People will have to buy from secondary market post IPO and that is again positive

Actually, Indians do not know how to value e-com company and that is why this company has not got full valuation. I believe still under valued and post listing price will shoot up. FIIs will earn money and retailers will sell at very low profit margin.

Only 10% is available for retail investors. Is not too less? would be too tough to get allotments, results in high demand. Any idea the gmp? Doubt to get allotments.

Anyout looked at its financials? The company has no debt and they seeks money to expand their business. Flipkart and Snapdeal already have VC funding while Amazon reported loss Rs 1,724 crore (as per ET). Infibeam is growing day by day and when they have the money they will surely invest in a right place. Infibeam has unique business model of BuildaBazaar. Even they have few big brands who joined hand with them to be in online market. They have dot triple ooo domain ownership so the things are clear. If they get the money they will surely help their own business model. Even the financials says they reported profit so one should invest and wait for the next quarter and see how company grows. They are gujaratis and they know how to do business. They surely get profit in their next quarter and the stock price will zoom. Watchout QIB Quota how they subscribe and take your own decisions. Do not hear to the negative news just think about yourself.
61.2. Rajeev Kumar Singh |   Link |  Bookmark | March 18, 2016 7:55:11 PM
If the company is so good then why is it coming out with an IPO. Why promoters want to dilute equity? They could have taken loan from banks. And why 2 initial anchor investors walked out. Any good reasons for all the points?
61.3. Rajeev Kumar Singh |   Link |  Bookmark | March 18, 2016 8:01:20 PM
The truth is banks don''t consider u n ur growth story worthwhile to give u lines as uur so called bright future company is in doldrums n the loan given can easily get converted to NPAs. So easy way out is raise money from capital markets. We don''t mind that but u as usual think Indian investor is gullible n can be fooled easily? Asking such a price just becau will have first mover advantage u think u can ask for moon n the public will give it to u? N u company paid stooges try to fool small investors of their hard earned money. If u r genuine boarder I challenge u to put all ur money into it. Let''s see then.

What is the GMP running? Heard there is very less volume which could mean positive opening. Worth a risk at the price for sure.
60.2. JD |   Link |  Bookmark | March 19, 2016 10:03:22 AM
@Rajeev,

I think you are not belongs to Stock Market... If company has money then they should not do listing on BSE,NSE. Just look at few big companies like Tata, Reliance, Bharti, Essar and more... They dont have money? They have but still they are coming to stock market for money. It does not matter company has money or not but the main concern for company to be public.

You should check before posting anything... Its upto investors to invest in or not. There are lots of other IPOs where people said do not subscribe and still they subscribed to get gain. Stock Market is full of risk. You should invest your own mind not others to get profit.
60.3. Rajeev Kumar Singh |   Link |  Bookmark | March 19, 2016 1:00:15 PM
Dear JD, I bloody well know what I m talking about. Just one time this company has made profits n what else is there to show. Its a plain fact that banks will kick this company out if it asks loans from it. This company has no option but to raise capital from capital markets. Don''t consider us novices here who dont know anything. Better u keep ur brains to itself. Dear retailers, many first timers will try to influence u to cheat u of ur hard earned money. Please do not get influenced. Don''t follow me but at least follow Septa n others who have thorough knowledge of things. Be aware of sweet talkers.

Difference is that Infibeam got profitable becaof presence in other hugely successful businesses like Buildbazaar. With high profit there to compensate hits in e-commerce, it is definitely going to do well in the short and long term. Further, it is a zero debt company while reviewing the financials.

India InfoLine(IIFL) View:
Infibeam Incorporation Limited - Avoid
Issue Opens: 21-Mar-16, Issue Closes: 23-Mar-16, Price Band: Rs 360-432
Infibeam is promoted by Mr. Ajit Mehta, Mr. Vishal Mehta, and Mr. Malav Mehta. The company provides domestic e-commerce products and solutions in India. Unlike other e-commerce startups, Infibeam has opted to raise Rs.450cr directly from the primary market. Notably, there were some instances in recent times, wherein valuations of e-commerce companies were either marked down in the unlisted space or have corrected in the global listed space. However, Infibeam has not compromised on its valuations. Furthermore, the exit of two investment bankers just before RHP calls for concerns. It will be a challenge for Infibeam to compete with the existing e-commerce giants. Furthermore, to raise additional funds in the future, the company may go in for equity dilution or increase its debt. This can be a caof concern for investors. In addition, future cash flow generated from the high-margin service business could be utilized by the e-commerce business. Post listing Market Cap of ~Rs 2300cr appears expensive based on annualized FY16 sales of ~Rs 350cr, PAT of ~Rs 13cr.

Starsipo,

Good observation. I agree with you. Whenever there is advertisement in newspaper, it indicates they are badly in need of funds and want to absorb all. I remember the Rpower IPO. they advertised in TV once in an hour. It was huge IPO, big company, but still did not get through.

ECOM is good, but As you said, comparatively, IB is smaller. Ad in news paper for IPO is like a new hero coming in and putting damar damar advertisements in street corners (in olden days)

One more news I m getting lately is that even FKart, SD are not so assuring except amazon.
For reason, read http://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/those-who-live-by-cash-are-top-e-tailers-headed-for-trouble_5300141.html

Keep up the good work! Help retailers, I appreciate your effort.

I have some reservations about infbem. I think books are doubtful......compay is just a mosquito of ecom section.....5 years already completed but nothing significant volume growth ....where as snapdeal, flipkart, shopclues, amazon showed tremendous growth......just 6 months before ipo co. Showing some profits to keep price sky high....streets agents may be behind this exercises seems......today full 2 page advertisements in allover india newspaper for ipo of very small ecom undigesteble...infebeam in looting mood seems.....fair value only below 100 rs....
55.2. starsipo |   Link |  Bookmark | March 18, 2016 12:46:10 PM
.......Big advertising of full 2 pages if ipo to loot people, why not they promotes their items so can business can grow four fold, rather than intentions to looting ......

In addition look at the proposed usage of the IPO proceeds. They plan data centres and to invest in cloud infrastructure much in line with Amazon''s AWS.

In my view even this amount is going to be short if they really try doing it, not to say much of the ecomm be continued but not getting the needed fund could lead to the crisis of funds continued too.

lead managers walking away during the process, raises big doubts about the company. My suggestion is to stay away from Infibeam IPO. Avoid

I have heard that both BRLMs - Kotak and Isec have withdrawn becaof pricing issues and timing of IPO. But brokers are also telling that becathese two big BRLMs wanted their own funds to invest in IPO and get maximum allotment and post listing they get maximum benefits, the Company did not allow these and hence, they went away.
