Crow Verdict: Not every lender can become an HDFC or Bajaj Finance and not every lender focusing on middle-class and lower-income groups can find shelter from the dreadful NPAs. It's for this reason I have a poor view of new entrants and small lenders in the housing loan sector. I'm surprised India Shelter has been around since 1998 and still has managed to disburse only about 5,000 crore worth loans. It's nothing extraordinary and nor is this issue.
However, save for the low post-IPO promoter holding and not-so-cheap valuations, I don't see any major red flag. Those who believe in the power of GMP can apply but beware that this may list along with DOMS and everyone could be penned down on that scrip. This may disappoint on listing.

You have reviewed 3 IPOs recently, Doms Inox India India Shelter In Doms and Inox India you are going FF, But in India Shelter, you are saying it may disappoint. Ok, but in all 3 you are applying for equal lots 3-3-3 retail. Can you pl explain.

@Learner SKand @IPOTraders, this can be a risky bet so I'd suggest apply if you're able to stomach a flat listing or poor post-listing action. However, allotment will be easier here than DOMS and Inox CVA, so it's okay to ride this for moderate gains. But it's a high risk moderate gain bet.
I applied 3 lots because I can take risk.

IPO coming at premium valuations during upward peak interest rate cycle always poses some risk for short to medium term investment.

@CoolAshji, I haven't studied Muthoot Microfin yet but it being a micro lender is enough to not go long on it. Plus, it's a Kerala-based business, which is a dampener. But the premium is damn too high on the streets, just like Motisons and Doms.

In oversubscribed ipo you will get minimum 14 lots if allotted. 🙏
Experts plz help. I have applied India shelter ipo via upi but mandate acceptance got failed due to timeout error from bank side so I cancelled the ipo request and than apply via asba and application is successful but now amount is put on hold twice for upi application. What should I do whom should I contact. Note- mandate is still showing processing in gpay but hold is created.

If the gpay mandate acceptance failed but still funds are blocked then it's some technical issue, the funds should be unblocked by gpay in 3 working days or before. If you want you can raise complaint with Gpay and your bank to unblock the funds asap 🙏

Umid hai ki kahin na kahin kuchha na kuchh mil jayega.
India Shelter is not giving good shelter looking into the sector. Financials according to me looks ok ok. Pricing looking on higher-end mean without shelter. Subscription figures not giving any shelter. GMP not on shelter mode. Issue size also not giving shelter. Inspite of all negative shelters likely to give bit shelter on listing. Allotment may give some shelter than other IPOs and SMEs. In these circumstances of shelter I may AVOID this shelterless IPO. Good for those who belive in : SOMETHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING. All my personal views and not to disappoint anyone. Think and do whatever you want to do.
@newgen consultancy Sir does it looks discount/bad listing here or 0 chances in any case? Because I'm fed up of non allotment since 1.5 years and I want to apply here because of more chances apparently, I'm happy if I will get anything. I want to apply 4 BHNI. Doms and inox looks unreachable , I never allotted in BHNI subx above 5x so thinking to apply here please suggest..
@newgen consultancy Sir, I can apply for 2 retail applications in Indian Shelter apart from 2 retails applications in DOMS and Inox. Please suggest whether is it worth applying for small/moderate listing gains or should I skip it altogether?
@Palka Expected subscription Bhni applicationwise may be 6 to 8 times Chances of allotment are better in comparison to other ipos. Current GMP is around 30% If market corrects then 20% listing gain is expected.. So you can decide now .. This is My opinion only , in share market everything is possible.. Hope for the best. Thanks.

Both has same chance of allotment if IPO oversubscribed (1x in retail) then it make no difference between 1 lot application or 2 lot application. So it is beneficial to apply only single lot.
