Secondary market came with good correction and opportunity. Please look into this sector e.g. Defense, Rail, PSU bank, renewable energy etc .. will give better return than IPO in short term. FMCG & Silver performing well. Just do hedging in your portfolio.

Has anyone got allotment having definedge demat?

Thanking you.

I have applied VI and IPO mandate was accepted. But while checking the allotment process, it was showing IPO mandate was not accepted.

But for other IPOs am applying from SBI account. Couldn't apply VI from SBI due to some password issue.

Paytm, Gpay, Phonepe etc. are only medium for UPI mode, unblocking depends on the bank from where funds were used.

As per rules, it will be rejected, since PAN will not match from bank account to demat account.

Dear members, I am new to the forum.

I have a question/doubt.

Question is i have 5 family member accounts but UPI id i used belongs to me. So i use my UPI id for all 5 account for IPO application is it allowed or not? I read that SEBI took some regulation in Dec 2023 that prevent such applications. since i have not been allolted any IPO in this year. i would like a clarrifications from Veteran members.

Yes, except yours others will be considered as 3rd party and mostly rejected. PAN in account used for funds & Demat should match. So better to transfer money to respective account and use their UPI's, if that option is feasible.

Points to Remember While Using UPI for Investing in IPO:
The limit for IPO application is Rs. 5 Lakhs per transaction on UPI and is available only for retail individual investors. Third party UPI ID or investors using a third party bank account will not be considered for allocation.

It will be considered as 3rd party, mostly rejected.
However, you can try your luck, rare cases you might get allotment too.

Hi Team/Respected Members,
This would be my first time applying to an IPO in the sHNI category. I had a couple of doubts regarding the same and I'd be really grateful if any of you could guide me on the same:

1) I was looking to apply for 2 sHNI lots: (Rs.208824*2=417648) through Groww App. First, can I do it via the same or do I need to apply it via ASBA?

2) Secondly, while applying through Groww under sHNI category, I need to make sure to NOT select the "cutoff-price" option, right? You may correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks in advance!

So I have a couple of questions. I applied in recently concluded SME IPOs in which I had applied in HNI but I had ticked cut off price which is also higher band price. Is that why I didn't get any allotment?

Isn't Cutoff Price same as Higher band Price. Like in Indegene Ltd. IPO when I select Cut Off price it automatically takes Rs. 452/- and If I manually enter price I would still enter Rs. 452/- as it is the higher band price. I am strictly talking about HNIs only.

Replies will be greatly appreciated.

@IPO Believer Cut off price feature in IPOs is meant only for retail segment applicant. By ticking cut-off price, bid automatically takes highest price band but after finalisation of issue, company if decides to offer at any price, lower than maximum within price band, that final price is called cut-off price. Hence, Cut-off price and Maximum price from given price band are NOT same. For HNIs, there is no facility to avail cut-off price feature (consent to bid at any price within price band) and therefore they need to bid manually at price of their choice within price band. If HNI applicants ticks this, application is liable to be rejected.
Hope it is clear now 🙂
