Hi vish, I did test run with my sbi account, there is a separate tab demat/asba wherein you can apply thru asba. so if you have a internet access to your sbi sb a/c , then you can apply for any ipo thru asba.
@527. vishu Thanks to you as well... i have ICICI saving account but those ppl dont offer this service. If i go to the banks like kotak, yes(which happpen to be near my place ) and ask them for ASBA application in physical format, they say you have to be a member in their group.... :(.Is it so??
Hi Kaydeeyar, Thanks for taking the time out to answer my question. But the thing is, i wanted to know how to apply using SBI's ASBA method. I dont ve either savings account nor their Demat Account. I was wondering if i need to open a demat account from them or would opening a savings account be sufficient.
regarding ASBA. The 10 Designated bank for ASBA till date are SBI,SBBJ,UBI,Corporation Bank,Axis Bank,HDFC Bank Ltd, ICICI Bank Ltd,IDBI Bank Ltd,Kotak Mahindra Bank & Bank of Baroda. I think it depends on bank to bank for formalities. in most cases the internet banking facility is enough to use ASBA.Happy Investing.
I am a medium to long term investor and hence applied for the issue of DB Realty in the IPO as media and most of the analyst projected it as a good company with slightly higher price. I got full allotment in the IPO like everybody else courtesy poor response by the retail investor. Due to the poor performance on listing and being below its issue price even after 1 month the question arises regarding the quality of this company. If the company is good I don't mind being invested for 1 yr or more otherwise I am ready to book loss. Kindly advise.
