Idea Cellular profit soars to Rs 132 crore

Aditya Birla group company Idea Cellular has posted 133.23 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 132.01 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007, compared with Rs 56.60 crore recorded during the same period of the previous financial year.

The company’s total revenues rose to Rs 855.54 crore during the reporting quarter from Rs 584.86 crore recorded during the same period a year ago.

The cellular major’s total revenue increased to Rs 1341.06 crore during the quarter from Rs 865.87 crore recorded during the comparable period a year ago.

The company’s subscriber base for the year stood at 14.01 million, augmented by 90.2 per cent increase over the previous year. This reflects an improvement in the national market share from 7.65 per cent to 8.63 per cent.

The company has launched services in eastern Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh during the third quarter. Idea Cellular has licences to operate in 13 telecom circles in India.

attention to all who are facing problem for refund.open saving a/c with citi,icici,hdfc,abhudaya,sbi,& many other bank.money is directly credited in saving a/c.complain to sebi for your refund ,you definately get refund + inteest+ money for frustration one had taken.

i had applied for 1260 idea cellular shares vide chq no.
049187 drawn on indusind bank dt 13/02/07 and was deposited with dsp merrillynch ltd at k.g marg new delhi.my app no. was 2 5130508 and transaction no. is 36129.the same cheque was deposited in hdfc bank k.g marg new delhi by dsp merrilynch for clearing.the cheque was debited in my account on 19/02/07. but till date i have not received any communication regarding refund/allotment for the same. moreover even after meeting personally at bigshare office at mumbai they have refused to give any reply for the same.kindly help us out of this.

Hi Navnith,
Bigshare accepted that there were some problems in sending refunds for few investors.
The only way to get your money back to discuss this issue with Bigshare. They usually send refund by registered post through Post Office. Here is what you can do now:

1. Call bigshare, ask them for registry number and the complete address where they sent you the check.

2. Visit your nearest post office and check if they have any registry for you or returned any registry in last few days. They try couple of times to deliver and if no body at the address they return it back. It happened with me few times.

3. Do not worry as you will not loose any money (other then interest ). I am investing in IPO’s for 6 years now and they kind of problems are normal. It happens with all registar’s.

I am in need of proper guidence. I have appalied for 1260 shares and got 344 shares. I got this shares to my demat account. the problem is with the rfund amount of 68700 which is supposed to be given as Physical warrant. I called big share regarding this.. the responce is they have send the check on 17th of March 2007. It 28th today and not recieved the money check at. This is a big amount for me.. and dont know why is the delay. I suspect bigshare of holding the money and getting the interest. is this a possible case?

What step I can take to get my money back? Please reply.

I had applied for 450 shares of Idea vide application No. 3 1516946 and for that purpose deposited a sum of Rs. 33,750/- through D/D dated 14-02-07.

123 shares have been has been allotted to me but the balance amount has not been refunded to me so for.

Insider information says , it will touch Rs. 150 in April. A FII is in plan to buy in bulk. Telecome is the future and this is a good stock to hold .Best wishes friends.

i have applied for 360 shares of idea .so far i haven't got any shares/ refund too. my application number is 1991962.i have checked my ipo status too. but they are stating that no records are found . please advice.

I have not yet recd my refund.The refund order shows the amount will be credited to my account on or before 07-03-07,though all my bank details are correct i have not yet recd my refund.their is no response at the phone nos given.can anybody help me by giving the mail id and phone no of the contact person.

I got 90 shares but they haven't been credited in my DP yet. I haven't got refund either. I have been trying to call Bigshare but their number is coming busy for last 4 working days. Is there any one facing same problem? What should I do now?

You had told that idea will list at 55 but now it list at 85 so improve your knowledge about market.

short idea at 85 & bought the same at 82 range which u might see on monday.i am going to buy 10,000 share from the market if it touch 80 level.for long term investor:hold & wait for 110 range.buy first source ltd @ 63 range .good bpo.in 2 years it will definately taken over by giants(source cnbc).
