MOST of paid brokers are asking to subscribe in the IPL issue ,first day subscription are poor show , ADVERTISEMENT is flashing on TV screens on zee business AND other business channels, spending cr of rupees , it would be better to slash the price to rs 300 below , WAIT and watch , QIB AND NII say in second day, and last day i AM NOT POSITIVE ON THIS BIG 6000 CR ISSUE ARE THERE ENOUJH RETAIL INVESTORS TO BUY AT RS 334
Difficult to predict how the IPL issue will perform, however historic data for a couple of heavily sized issues from the past:
1) RPOWER - Issue date JAN"2008 - Size 11,563.20 Cr
NIFTY at 6500 level when the issue launched, post the listing of the issue, NIFTY fell down heavily to below 5000 levels.
2) COALINDIA (Issue date Oct"2010) - 11,563.20 Cr
NIFTY regained 6200 level at around the time the issue was launched, post coal india issue listing, NIFTY corrected heavily at around 4600 level within a year.
3) Then there were heavenly sized issues NMDC 9930Cr, TATA STEEL 3477 Cr and POWER Finance 4578 Cr but turned flops post listing.
Will IPL follow the same suite just like these predecessors or be an exception??? Only time will tell.
Patterns we can not predict in any issue only we can see fundamental and gmp and we are running for ipo.yes it is big issue but it is not r-power which have no fundamental.ICICI HAS PROPER FUNDAMENTALS. IN COAL INDIA IT IS FUNDAMENTAL COMPANY AND BIG ISSUE AND INVESTER GET big return in ipo..
Please go to IPO section. You will find ICICI Pru Life in two line items. Choose the 2nd one (clearly indicated as for Shareholders Category). It is self explanatory.
In I-Direct two links are available for appling IPO namly 1. ICICI PRUDENTIAL LIFE INSURANCE CO LTD : ICIPRU 2. SHAREHOLDERS ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Co Ltd : ICIPRU
You can apply both as retail investor and share holder.
I have noticed since last few IPO''''s that people in forum first give negative comments about the IPO to reduce the interest of individual and then on final day or after closing of IPO start giving positive comments and finally IPO gets subscribed with huge numbers. Is it some kind of trick so that some investors do not apply and others get more chance of allotment? So guys be careful and apply with your own knowledge and risk.
Absolutely right in ipl everyone know we can get 20 rs gain.if we calclulate premium of only 10 then 10*44=440 and you apply 3 application 440*3=1320 investment is 45000 (approx)so,you can get 3%+ return of 45000 In 12 days which BANK OF WORLD GIVE 3%IN 12 DAY???????
Quality.. you have to factor-in brokerage sell) of 45000 rs of shares you need to pay 450 rs of brokerage so it is no profit no loss if premium is 10 rs. Not sure about other brokerages how much % they charge.
Trader equity.I Am in acmil.if I buy n sell I pay 1% brokrage but in ipo only selling so only 0.5% means 225 rs and in my msg I defined every one know 20 rs per share profit but I only calculated for rs 10 so,if we get avg of 15 rs per share them you calculate your profit.my personal expectations and my broker say we get 2000+ in this per application in listing day.today premium is 30-33 source zee business....
ICICI Bank is passing through tough time due to massive NPAs and need more and more funds to keep books Green.. so this is one of the key issue why the IPL is heavenly priced...coming to second thought the issue can be easily subscribed 4-5 times mainly backed by QIB and HNI participation, since ICICI knows very well how to lead in financial issues.. ICICI Securities is in business from past so many years.. so retail investors who are planning to apply at lower end is worthless... its better to apply at cutoff if want to apply...
Regarding post market listing... it may give small listing gain say 8-15% depending on market conditions... but may fell to below issue price after a month or so..since it is difficult to hold such large overpriced equity at higher base in falling market... remember financial market is at its highest valuation today....so one interested for listed gains can gamble but people looking for long term investment can buy in March 2017 below 340/- .. Again Insurance is slow moving business one cannot expect 30%+ CAGR in the sector so 30+ PE is also not justified....
remember IPL is in insurance sector which will be most affected by introduction of GST in April 2017... so it will make lowest base sometime in Jan- Feb 2017...
I have ICICI pru shares in my Ventura account ....but I want to apply the IPO through HDFCsec (ICICI bank share holders will get privilege to get this IPO )...do I eligible for privilege category if I apply through diffrent demat

I had applied thru HDFC & Kotak Only in HDFCSEC It''s showing different options Anyway it''s added advantage holding ICICI Bank Shares Otherwise Only luck determine
Icici insurance business .......not appealing. Public are shying in insurance companies. All life insurance company are charging heavy premium and pay or give return of only 4-6%. People are not interested in such themes. They are investing in Mutual funds/ property etc.... not sure not in insurance policies. ....Further seems that this bull run market is now at pause.....WHEN BIG IPO COMES.....THERE ARE MORE CHANCES THAT MARKET MAY TAKE U TURN AGAIN.....SHARP FALL IS EXPECTED, AS WHO ARE ARTIFICIALLY SUPPORTING THE MARKET WILL SQUARE UP POSITION AROUND 28/29.9.16.....PLZZ..... REMEMBER R-POWER ISSUE....AGAIN HISTORY MAY REPEAT..... BEWARE BEWARE...NOW.....PLZ SKIP ISSUES AS IT IS VERY COSTLY...
in shareholders quota, it is mentioned that if a shareholder apply for not more than rs. 2 L, then they can apply separately for retail category.this means 572 shares at upper price band of rs. 334 will come to Rs. 1.91 L.
can we apply for 572 shares under shareholders quota and then apply separately for 44 shares under retail quota whereby combined for single PAN, the amount will be rs.2.05 L under both shareholders and Retail category. do we have to restrict both put together to rs. 1.91 L (528+44). please share your opinion
ICICI Bank shareholders applying through "Shareholder" category up to Rs. 2,00,000/- can also apply in Net offer (Normal IPO) (Retail or Non-Institutional category) and the same shall not be treated as multiple application.
You can apply for 572 shares (or less) as Shareholder + 572 shares (or less) as Retail investor or You can apply for 572 shares (or less) as Shareholder + Any number of shares as Non-Institutional Investor
