Retail applicants who are using SBI ASBA are not able to get the shareholder category for ICICI LOMBARD IPO. Although a shareholder, everyone has only one option, which is general category. shareholders of ICICI bank will lose out on applying under shareholder category.
Since the issue is closing on Tuesday there is still some time left to correct this wrong.
We need to call Karvy 040 23312454 and also ICICI Lombard 022 61961100 numbers to see that this is corrected before Tuesday the last day. I just did and they said they will try.
If more people call up then they might wake up and alert SBI.
Please do call.Otherwise our shareholder entitlement will be lost
I am also facing same problem, in Online SBI net banking ASBA IPO application form there is no option for "Shareholder" category, only "individual" category is available for applying IPO, and I have been seeing this very problem is present from past few IPOs but didn''t bothered till this ICICI Lombard IPO came, as I was not a shareholder in those previous IPOs. My request to revered senior members, please help regarding how to apply in "Shareholder" category before closing of this IPO issue and guide how, where and whom to complain for solving this issue so that nobody faces problem applying in "Shareholder" category for future IPOs(like SBI Life, HDFC Life). Thanks.
if I have apply under NII for suppose 2.04 Lacs ( 16 Lots of 22 each @ 666) & if I will got allotment, then it will be of whole 16 lots exastly or it can be more of less?? Please suggest
Rahul, allotment is on the basis of over subscription. If the issue is oversubscribed, u might not get anything. If you are lucky, even after applying for 50 lakhs, you might get only one lot of Rs15000.
Apply for both. Since getting allotment has very low probability. And even if you get allotment in both, net listing gain(adding both) will mostly be green.
There is nothing as Best. You need to choose depository service as per your need/criteria. There is an option available on chittorgarh website to compare among various brokers. I personally use sharekhan, they have office in my locality. It is one of the best available brokers, however is expensive. I am also using Upstox from the past few months.
Applied for 66 shares under shareholder category and suppose issue subscribed by 2 times under shareholder category. How many shares would be allotted. If another person applied under shareholder category for 286 shares. How many shares he would be allotted if the issue is subscribed by 2 times under shareholder category.

If shareholders category oversubscribed, allocation done same as RII,
1. If the aggregate demand is less than or equal to the Shareholders category at or above the Issue Price, full Allotment may be made to the ICICI Bank Shareholders to the extent of the valid Bids.
2.If the aggregate demand in this category is greater than the allocation to in the ICICI Bank Shareholders Category at or above the Issue Price, then the maximum number of ICICI Bank Shareholders who can be Allotted the minimum Bid Lot will be computed by dividing the total number of Equity Shares available for Allotment to ICICI Bank Shareholders by the minimum Bid Lot (“Maximum ICICI Bank Shareholders Allottees”). The Allotment to the ICICI Bank Shareholders will then be made in the following manner:
(a) In the event the number of ICICI Bank Shareholders who have submitted valid Bids in the Issue is equal to or less than Maximum ICICI Bank Shareholders Allottees, (i) all such ICICI Bank Shareholders shall be Allotted the minimum Bid Lot; and (ii) the balance available Equity Shares, if any, remaining in the ICICI Bank Shareholders Category shall be Allotted on a proportionate basis to the ICICI Bank Shareholders who have received Allotment as per (i) above for the balance demand of the Equity Shares Bid by them (i.e. who have Bid for more than the minimum Bid Lot).
(b) In the event the number of ICICI Bank Shareholders who have submitted valid Bids in the Issue is more than Maximum ICICI Bank Shareholders Allottees, the ICICI Bank shareholders (in that category) who will then be Allotted minimum Bid Lot shall be determined on the basis of draw of lots.
