I would have agreed with your comment if the retail and HNI subscription would have been high
Now the question is from where will the selling pressure come, Retail bulk of them are subscribing full well knowing there is nothing on listing , so no first day flippers HNI subsription negligible to create pressure On the contrary I expect the Qibs to buy closer to issue price, hence not expecting much premium nor expecting much downfall, the issue will list more or less closer to issue price

Mr. Pandit Ji S (306.3)
You comments apperas to be correct, and I personally agree with you.
One of the qib with big chunk of equity will dibrately put sell order at discount say 630 rs...loss of 37 its okey then after they will hammer that stock to 600 odd levels.... shares sold at 630 will be covered at 600 rs .... and then your issue price will arrive ...u r at par at that time but they r earning 30 rs...
NII still havent come. If everyone will get allotment then no one will be buyer on listing day. Those retailers who will be in need of money will sell and stock price might come down. Right now I am not applying but will buy after listing. :)
@Piyush: 4 time QIB subscription comes around 2(200%) times the overall subscription. give that 50% will get allotment, the remain 50% will be fought by 150% demand. 10% hike in price will drive these QIB''s.
@Piyush QIB''s are there to help IPO sail through. In case of Bharat Road they even sold on first day itself without any gain after making the IPO successful. If they didnt wanted to hold then why they even applied. I am not saying that ICICI Lombard is bad as Bharat Road but the valuations are steep and without grey market its better to wait and buy at 5-10% discount for long term (Minimum 5 years).

As per my opinion, this is a scipt who can hold for ONE year since there is every possibility that it may become part of NIFTY index. Further, as there is increase in QIB subscriptions listing likely to be at par or at nominal discount.

You are right Mr. Chem cho (346.1)
What is the guarantee that we will get at lesser rate on listing? It is only presumptin which may happen or may not happen.
People have withdrawn their application NSE is showing retails subscribed only 0.36 times...lol i too withdraw my all application discount listing about 7%
