This ipo big slap to ICICI to took highly expensive ipo everytime, if capacit received more than 54000 cr why ICICI not touch this figures, this ipo good answer to shameless greddy promoter
Yes 2012 incorporated co. capacit will give huge profit to investors but top brand icici fails to give any profit to investors on listing ( Good example also Shankara buildpro crossed Rs. 1400 mark. )
Is there any tax if we sell on listing day? I know, if we hold shares for more than a year there is no tax to be paid. But not sure if tax is applicable in case it is sold on listing day.
If you sell on the listing day, then it would be treated as trading business, and you have to show the gain under head of pgbp, and if you sell it before a year then it would be under capital gains as short term
Pujan ...If you sale allotted shares on listing day, then the resulting gain or loss is treated as STCG/STCL & not speculative/trading profit. Hence taxable @15 %
You have to think about tax if you make a short term capital gain and loss will get adjusted with other gains. I have applied for five lots and now i regret with the demand of the IPO and i guess it is going to a rerun of Prudential listing. I think for the first time i am going to get all five lots i have applied for, will be listed very close to issue price and then it will free fall... Else you can hold it for 2/3 years for a good return. Whatever i will get i will retain one lot for long term and sell the rest at market price of opening hour.
I am facing one issue .i have not received application no for subscription of icixi lombard.i have applied through sbi ASBA my amount has been blocked transection successful but not received application no yet.what to do now plz anyome suggest me plz m in tension now
very poor subsription for an icici group co, but certainly due to 2 reasons 1-public neither have money with so many ipo on the trot 2- now retail dont run just afetr seeing subsriptions of QIB, which is actually very good:)
hope company''s will understand the importance of public money and reasonbly price their issues
There are 28,677,190 shares for retail in ICICI Lombard. i.e. 28,677,190 divided by 22 applications = 13,03,508.
No. of subscriptions = 13,03,508 multiplied by 1.1803(retail subscription) = 15,38,531
You can do the rest of the calculations for Capacite yourself.
Hope it makes sense.
Thanks Rob

No. of Applications can not be calculated by subscription figures, it is actual applications made by investor. because in retail max 13 lots (286 shares) can be applied consider A bids for 1 lot - 22 shares B bids for 5 lot - 110 shares C bids for 13 lot - 286 shares
in 3 applications total 418 shares applied how you can calculate 3 application from 418 shares
Also Capacit''e & ICICI Lombard can not be comparable.
Two things to remember about Lombard. This is FIRST General Insurance company to be listed. Log LIFE Insure kare na kare lekin Vehicle jarur Insure karengay because Traffic Havaldar khada hay signal per.

ICICI Lombard General Insurance Ltd. IPO Subscription figures (NSE+BSE) @8:20pm:-
Icici bank was nervous till last moment. For the first time icici direct people were calling personally requesting to subscribe to the issue. Which has never happened in past.
HNI generally do not apply unless there is possibility of at least covering the cost of borrowing which is used for applying in the IPOs.
There is possibility of 15-20 Rs gain on listing day. Because Fund houses, FII and institutional investors shall definitely buy to keep in their long term portfolio. In USA , insurance companies are considered good value and growth buy. These investors see the same story in india, which is just starting.
