Biggest IPO of the country, highest ever hype, but look at this touched almost 5% negative from listing.

i saw many members in CG for this IPO with 2-3 years or Lambeee view.
Good...but a simple advise to those who didnt get tired to talk good things about this IPO for longgggggggg time view.
When such long term view your purchase must be at good level too..
DONT FORGET THIS SIMPLE THING & This IPO with a Price of 1960 is COStlier.Baaki longggggggg time good bolke isska justification maat karo.
And thanks too those retailers who controlled themselves and didnt apply despite all fake hypes and positive things about with a word call ...."LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG term GOODDDDDDDDD"

@Ashish KS Totally agree. Here most of the so called IPO Gurus and Mentors got badly exposed. Seems they all are from BAAP investing category.

I leared a lot from Hyundai ipo. Thankyou cg members for your views. One doubt still remains, when most of the shares were with big players, how it opened negative and still trades below listing price ? Did qib sold in loss ? It is qib flippper @GrayIsTheNewBlack

Hi all,

Pathetic listing followed by subpar buying force. All my calculations falied for listing day and it doen't feel very good to go wrong but paying for the same with a big open loss in my accounts.
Again, nothing wrong with fundamentals or future prospects but can't deny the short term pain this has caused.

Thanks to all senior members for the insights they shared..it has been a pretty great experience.

Alvida dosto, ab fir milege kisi aise hi controversail issue me ;)

@Rolta u r right, waree promoters know well that their shares trading at 2800 in unlisted then also they gave discount to ipo investors,

whenever there is a big ipo, promoters should give some discount to investors so that market easily accept new comers

One important thing to note that price started increasing from 9:40. How anyone (operators) know that pre open price will settled between 9:44 and 9:45 though new rule is 9:35 to 9:45??

@Tejas Pandya bhai, having seen extremely tepid response from the Retail and HNI, company pulled all the stops to try bring in some positivity for listing..increase in GMP, Chairman flying in, Modi inclusion, FII buy rating..what not..
Despite all this focus, just to influence positive listing, it listed in negative and has gone close to 1850 levels. In the coming days, when a similar strong focus will naturally wane away, one can imagine how the price will start getting affected. Seems highly risky to buy into this just yet. Rest, only time will tell.

If market would have been in positive mode. This would have surely listed positively.

Considering Maruti has fallen from 13500 to 11900 in last 10 days.

The negativity was unwarranted. Yes, Hyundai should have/could have brought the IPO at 1700 range then all these negativity would have been done away with.

Last but not the least those who keep shouting buy Tata or M&M also don't understand that states have been going around asking Tesla to invest in India, Ford again to restart the plant.

With a population of this size, we badly need Foreign MNCs investment to create livelihood, jobs.. and no MNC will invest for no profits.. some may keep the profits in India.. some will take it out as dividend after paying Dividend distribution tax..

@IpoZINDAHAI No company wants to list in premium. If they have enough buyers at high price, why should they sell at a low price? Hyundai IPO was a success to the company and short term speculators lost money.

Leaving something on the table for investors is a sign of a good management (if not the Company).

While I agree with your logic that there are more and enough buyers (in Hyundai's case - institutions). It is always good for the companies to leave something from the small investors like retail and HNI.

You Grow, We grow.. that's how a good management operates.. that's why the likes of Tata, Bajaj group has such strong brand.

Recent example being Bajaj group adding addendum to change shareholders Quota.

apart from that increase in royalty by 1 percentage point (royalty is on revenue). That will lower profit margin in future.
But don't worry allotte, Hyundai share should bounce back when secondary market recover.

100% Maal nahi becha hai , sirf 17.5%.
Co ka valuation, reputation took a big hit.Morover they hv lost the big opportunity to create positive impact on indian consumer if they could able to provide listing gain.
However they have maintained the tradition that Big IPO can not make money for investors.

LIC did bailed out this ipo but due to extremely high valuations considering its a korean company and not a real mnc the ipo price cant be held.
