@abc xyz slightly tricky to answer but isn't it clear that the Retailers & HNIs are somewhat a winner, as they largely stayed away from this issue? It's almost like Retailers are now calling the shots much more than FIIs or QIBs, who previously used to rule the roost. Even higher application by the QIBs didn't influence the public at large here and the effect is clearly visible.
I think, another PoV can be, even from a wider market perspective, look at the FII selling.. FIIs have sold more than 84k Cr of stocks in just 16 working days this month - Highest ever recorded!! yet, the effect on the market is mere -4.7% for the month of October so far. March 2020, the previous peak, saw outflows of 66k crs and the effect on the market was -23%!!
Just goes on to show that market dynamics have changed significantly in the last few years.
