Hi Viru, You must apply based on even-lots (i.e., multiple of 200 shares). With 15000 you can apply for only one lot (or 200 shares) which will be 11600 (400 discount for RII). If you want to bid for 400 shares (2 lots), then you need 23200 (800 discount). You cannot bid for number of shares between 200 and 400. Ideally, your bank will only let you bid for (number of shares on) multiple of lot size.
You have to apply in multiple of 200 shares. So you can apply for 200 shares @ 58 Rs. share.

Dear CPPK, There is a formula which will help you get an allocation under NII category. If the NII quota is subscribed 100x, then you should have bid for atleast 68lots; then only you will get allotment for 1 lot. (2*N/3)+1 lots. 68 lots will be approximately 1 million (10 lakhs). If you''re applying for anything less than this, luck is involved and it is equivalent to applying under RII category.
I had applied through SBI ,Kotak and HDFC in HDFC and Kotak it''s only block 11600 but in SBI it''s blocking 12000 amount. May i know why there is no discount of RS 2 per share when i am applying from SBI? Please reply as soon as possible.
Hi Can anyone suggest me. Is there is more chance of allotment if someone applied in NII category instead of RII. Please suggest. I have fund 2+ If there is chance to get allotment in NII then should i choose NII. First time i m thinking to apply in NII Category.
NII category subscription will be more than 100 times. That means for 1 crore you will get 1 lac or less of shares. for 3 lac you will get 3000 Rs allotment that means nothing. As that is less than minimum lot. Moral of story, don''t aply in NII if you don''t have more than 2 crores.
