I have a query if someone could help.

Some people have placed a pre-opening bid to sell about 99,500 shares for Rs. 45.

I do not understand as to why would someone book loss on the moment of the share getting listed.

Actually that is not a loss. In a pre opening session showing prices are only indicatives for retail buyers. As you see that they are selling on 45/- but that is not actual sell price. Actual sell price when prices are actually fixed on 9:45 in case of hudco i.e. 73/-. I think you will also saw that some one purchasing on 100 or more. Same will also apply on purchase. Same फंडा will work on pre opening session from 9:00to 9:07 for whole share market only n only retailes category investors.

Due to panic. Nothing else. They see S Chand and CL Educate. So worried about loss.
But nobody got less than Rs 70 till now. So all have made profit from HUDCO.
