I personally track over subscription by number of shares. You may b right at ur stand. If i follow ur logic than ans would b 4x. :)

Total number of share = 200,190,000
Assuming 35% Retail Investor''s portion
Number of shares for RI portion = 70,066,500
Numbers of shares per application = 300
Total numbers of applications for 1x subscription = 233,555
Number of demat accounts in India (based on info provided in this forum during Dmart IPO) = 12,00,000
Assuming 75% account holders apply for 2 applications = 18,00,000 applications
Tentative over subscription of RI =18,00,000/233,555 = 8x

My personal opinion .. based on issue size of 1000 crore.. this IPO wil overall over subscribe by 50x and RI portion wil be 15-20x.

How it?

Say the price band is 450--460. The public is also applying at 450, 451 and so on uptown 460. The investor are also applying at cut off, whereas the investor who applied at a bid from 451 to 459 will not be considered. The issue is declared as RIIx 10. In this all the bids are counted. It is my presumption. If it is otherwise than correct my knowledge.

Karvy should be banned as a registrar. Total Fraud only

I am novice for IPO application,Can anybody tell me, Is it possible to apply for 3 different PAN & Demat Acc. Holder from same HDFC net banking Account?

Not possible in hdfc bank but all nationalised banks allowed upto five applications from one savings account

Request please do not appoint karvy for registrar. Total disappoint with karvy

Appointment is not in our hands, but you can do one thing
Dont apply in ipo if registrar is karvy
This is the safest possible thing for you
Dont blam to any one
Karvy has alloted share to some persons
It is hard luck for you that you dont get
And another thing is that person keep quit when share alloted and make a noise when not alloted

why you not try to sell your application in grey market.i was sale my 8 application in demart.0 alloted but still i earn money.and all are in cash.so you did not pay tax on this if your income is more.

सेबी को ऐसा नियम रिटेल में भी बनाना चाहिए क़ि जो ज्यादा पैसे लगाये उसे अलॉटमेंट मिले और जो पुराना इन्वेस्टर हो उसे प्रायोरिटी दी जाये।

hello if i apply in hni ctegory of rs 1000000 n i got allotment then how much shares i got approx ..??????

Only 80 shares if we assumed hni subscription 250 times.......so better to try your luck in retail portion with Rs. 15000.00 per application ...if luck support u easily get 300 shares in Rs. 15000.00 instead of Rs. 10 lakhs where u will get only 80 shares
