Most of the senior members are refraining from spending time at our CG forum because of the degradation of the quality posts. Newbies keep posting 100s of messages every month! Every month there are a few folks who keep bombarding with unnecessary messages that are not at all required. Infact, its clear that people are approaching with ‘gangs’ here. 😂
One ordinary post is getting continuously 2-3 likes, no matter what the content of the post is! People are looking for badges to influence other members, it seems. They are unaware of the fact that we have time based ranking system here.
This is a very high time to keep a note of this and make moderation of posts a little more strict.
To counter this, I suggest that we must have a ‘message per day’ counter for newbies. I do understand that someone new might need to post most queries but those queries can be easily resolved if they check FAQs etc. We can’t simply spoon feed everyone. Posting GMP is fine but not every 10 mins. If the variation is not more than 5% then no point posting updated GMP to spam. A variation of 1-2% is always there depending upon the city, broker etc.
A few members might not like this message and may start trolling, that’s okay! But I am sure there are a lot of people like me who want our CG forum to be a QUALITY forum rather than a place where everyone is writing without considering the quality of the messages.
I request senior members to add more suggestions to this issue as spamming must be stopped else we will slowly lose quality people!
