Apploid...and also Apploid the upcoming Bharat 22,...i''m sure, like HDFC, they too would leave quite a lot on the table for the retail investors... It''s actually a neck and neck race between HDFC and Bharat 22 promoters to lift the generosity trophy...but i suspect Bharat 22 promoters might clinch it, although by a thin margin. .
Should we apply at a price less than cut off price? What will be chances of allotment if issue is fully subscribed in retail i.e only 1x subscription and some bids as price bids?
Technically speaking shares are allotted at Cutoff price so any application below Cutoff price is never allotted any share.
Ok implications of applying at Cutoff :- the retail investor surrenders his rights under the book building process and in return get to right to get shares allotted at what ever the price decided based upon the price bid by other applicants.
It''s a good bargain for retail investors to apply at Cutoff.

@abhikkk: Please note that cut-off price does not mean maximum price at the price band- it means any price discovered by OTHERS by applying on price is acceptable. You will not be allotted any shares if you apply below discovered price, For most of the issues the cutoff price will be the maximum price since the issues are normally over subscribed now-a-days. So dont waste your energy by applying less than maximum price in the price band.
unfortunately there ain''t no option to apply at More than the maximum price seeked by the promoters...it has been observed that on many occasions even the promoters and the merchant bankers together can''t gauge the true hidden worth of their company and end up leaving too much on the table for the undeserving retail investors... so the clairvoyant investors who can peek into the future should come forward to help them figure...may it be the game of love, war or investment...play it fair...

Eligible Shareholders --------------------------- Individuals and HUFs who were the public equity shareholders of HDFC, one of our Promoters and Group Companies (excluding such persons who are not eligible to invest in the Offer under applicable laws) as on the date of the Draft Red Herring Prospectus, i.e, August 18, 2017.
The maximum Bid Amount under the HDFC Shareholders Reservation Portion by an Eligible HDFC Shareholder shall not exceed Rs 200,000
Only Shareholders of HDFC (Not HDFC Bank) as on 18 Aug 2017 Eligible in Shareholders category
If you apply using same demat account or different demat accounts linked to same PAN under shareholder and retail category, both applications will be rejected.
I have 10 shares of HDFC Bank can I bid in shareholder category? What is the cut off date for shares of HDFC for the eligibility to apply in this category?
Am planning to submit my application tomorrow for 4 lots. I have one question to boarders.
Am finding that the retail portion is subscribed only 14% so far. In case, the issue receives exactly, 1 time subscription on the retail category, does that mean everyone who applied for this share gets full allotment?

Motilal Oswal ---------- Valuations are reasonable
SP Tulsian -------------- Not leave much room for Immediate return, invest only for long term. Dilip Davda ------------- moderate investment for medium to long term (High Risk – Low Return)
Who are real ''experts'' .. these professionals whose very job is to responsibly research and analyse and take decisions / ownership to deploy millions .. or the ones who take extreme positions on the other side, with hardly anything at stake. The choice is ours.

Anyone should not blame on brokerages about there view on subscribing issue, as they are not doing detail research of the stocks for listing gains only.

It should be the decision of investor on which level he should invest, as everyone knows valuation is streached. It may/maynot be available on price what one should think, no one can guess the exact top or bottom. If anyone invests for longterm, he always known to be ups & downs of the stock & stock market.
For long term bet on good stock some streached valuation may not be that kind of importance. consider the example of Dmart (Not comparing stock with HDFC Life) IPO price - 299 listed @ 604 ------------------ (21-Mar-17) all time high - 1289 --------- (13-oct-17) current price - 1100
still investors are ready to buy above 1000 (within 8 months, can anyone really justify this price?) Its all game of market centiments & demand/supply.
