Yesterday itself, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has stated about skyhigh valuations of recent IPOs, especially Insurance IPOs and has strongly advised to stay away from IPOs. He has also mentioned of selling his shares of such IPOs which he has bought. Hence, I don''t believe the news bring spread about his applying in HDFC Life. This may be targeted for giving positive sentiment to its listing tomorrow. Valuation is too high. If Parekh is so much investor friendly, why is he asking for price which will be justfiable after 4-5 years. He and all other promoters of recent IPOs are just looting investors, including Govt, what to say about Pvt promoters.
Let us see what happens tomorrow.
