KKR found the deal interesting as shares once issued can't be nullified, but be transferred, and at lower valuation than IPO, that too by paying 12% interest to distributors for the few days is a compelling deal...

But but, hdfc is shocked now and can't afford a bad name affecting the group, will have to price lower than they had thought earlier, especially when the media taking this issue as a whole, expect price range around 1200, lot size 12...

Why LIC is investing Public money in a loss making IDBI Bank. It's only to save corporates and politicians. GOVT Can take action against them.

LIC is very strong in urban and rural level. No need to acquire banks for its business expansion.

LIC will meet the same fate as Air India and BSNL in next 10 to 15 years

HDFC alloted shares to distributors @1050 just before the IPO and was planning to issue shares to general public in the range 1400-1500 per share. How fair is it! Only retail investors are the onces who are easy target to be looted by everybody including Private & Public sector companies and the Govt because being minuscule they have no way to manipulate and dictate terms to these thugs.

1. SBI LIFE issue opens on 20th Sep and RHP filed on11th Sep. on the same date record date has been fixed for SBI SHAREHOLDERS for applying shareholder quota.
2. ICICI LOMBARD issue opens Sep 15th and RHP filed on Sep.6th on the same date the record date has been fixed for ICICI BANK SHAREHOLDERS for applying shareholders quota.
3. ICICI SECURITIES issue opens 22nd March and RHP filed on 13th March on the same date the record date has been fixed for ICICI BANK SHAREHOLDERS for applying shareholders quota.
But HDFC AMC ISSUE OPENS ON 11th July or 2nd August. HDFC AMC fixes record date on which DRHP FILED i.e, 14th March. for applying HDFC AMC IPO FOR HDFC SHAREHOLDERS.
Why makes this difference, whether it is valid or not. All companies fixes the record date on which RHP filing. but HDFC FIXING THE RECORD DATE ON WHICH DRHP FILED. Pls clarify.

I know all the three companies came and closed. Typical error i stated issue opens instead of issue opened.

Even HDFC Life IPO also had date of DRHP as date of eligibility for HDFC share holders. Looks like they are maintaining the same methodology.

HDFC Asset Management Co was directed to refund the application money along with 12 % interest . whether 12% interest to be treated as business income or short term capital gains ? one more head ache for the recipient of 12 % interest ?

Any official confirmation from HDFC on the delay of the IPO?

We removed two IPO's as we didn't get confirmation from the company. We will enable them again as soon as we get some update.

The same case is with HDFC AMC IPO. After SEBI ruling, we didn't get any updates from management. We are trying to get hold of them.

Those two companies filed drhp. Approval of drhp takes around 3 months. And any IPO can be launched after sebi approval. Chittorgarh uploaded those information by mistake.

When will Mr Septa start sharing his views about new ipos.
In his last post he wrote for six months absence.
Now it is more than six months.
