I have sold Bandhan bank IPO shares on 28 March and amount is credited on 3 April (T+2).
So in which year, ( FY 2017-18 or FY 2018-19) I will show this short term capital gain?

Whichever FY the money is shown as credited use that. It is easy for us to account and pay tax accordingly. Ease of tracking more than anything else. IMO

My advice
Buy subject 2 application from market at 3000-3500 and reduce your losses as much as possible
Otherwise file high value hni application to get allotment

Don't take Short calls when momentum is there
People suffering heavy losses in Bajaj finance,bajaj finserve ,TCS ,Indy ,ril

Suddenly jump in GMP yesterday evening also furled by govt.wins confidence vote
Don't sell in hurry
Two things surely
Oversubscribe not more than 3.5x
More then 300 premium on listing
So alloties will get 4000 to 5000 easily
TRADE accordingly

Long term best share
At least 2 years good return

Hm...Predicting the GRM aint no picnic ..GRMs could differ vastly from one company to another......Take for instance Chennai petro which clocks close to $ 1.5 / bbl vs Reliance Industry's stupendous $ 12 /bbl ....while Indian Oil and HPCL always struggle to get past that pathetic $ 6 /bbl mark....How pathetic indeed!

So what gives? Your judgement places HDFC OmC's GRM somewhere close to the middle of the scale, which imo makes a lot of sense considering the fact that there could be a lot of shortsighted people scrambling to sell on the listing day ...

So don't forget to let me know every exciting detail of your shorting game ..okay? ..Keep us posted ..
