Dear all shareholder quota appliers, Pls ignore number 655 message because i already told you HDFC AMC IPO, HDFC shareholder quota maximum limit is fixed so it may not subscribe like ICICI. Syngene and ICICI prudential sharholder where allowed to apply any number of shares. So both subscribed well after 2 pm.
In Syngene and ICICI PRUDENTIAL shareholders quota subscribed heavily because one shareholder can apply any number of share, whereas HDFC AMC maximum cap is fixed So it may not subscribe like ICICI.
Hi does anyone know how allotment is done in case of oversubscription in the shareholder category. I might be wrong but the SEBI formula of minimum one lot irrespective of no of lots in case of oversubscription refers only to Retail Investor Category.
To get an approximate idea of appwise subscription,(in absence of the same in public domain)... Multiply qtywise subscription with 0.65...you might get an approximate if not accurate figure. Wonder what prevents exchanges to publish appwise sub live, after the formula for retail allitment got changed
The subscription belongs to shareholder category as many holders go for full 2lac amount application. & U are absolutely right when this belongings to the retail portion.
Icici Prudential shareholder quota subscribes heavily after 2 pm like hni quota. Similarly HDFC AMC also shareholder quota will spurt after 2 pm. So for 2.2 times
Boom 35 times over subscribed, biggest IPO as of now

Dear All
There are several messages seeking mode of allocation in Retail & Shareholder portion. As per SEBI rules allocation mode is same in both portions. Please note that oversubscription figures indicated in all websites including NSE & BSE are number of shares and netheir number of applications nor lots.
The allocation methodlogy follows that if all applciations at cut off price or the maximum price with minimum one lot per applicaton when added together exceeds total avalible shares on offer , be it Retail or Shareholder portion, it will be alotted by draw of lots.
However, if the total as mentioned above does not exceed total offer quantum , all categaores at different bid levels will be alloted in same proportion of oversubcription at each step subject to minimum lot. If the minimum lot can not be achieved at any step then it will be by draw of lots in different ratios progressively favouring those in higher lots.
To give an example where Rajakumar pointed out in Biocon shareholders quota in Syngenta and ICICI Bank shareholders quota in ICICI Prudential shareholders quota,
In Syngene Intl, 6091 applicants apllied for 2,567,640 shares agianst an offer of 2,000,000 shares oversubscribing by about 1.28 times. But, 6091 applicnats at minimum lot of 60 added to only 365,460 that is not even 20% of 2,000,000. Therefore each lot catogory was alloted 78% (1/1.28) of their application. For those applying for mimimum lot of 60, SEBI rule does not permit 78%. To make it 78% overall a ratio of allotment 32:41 done thus eliminating 9 by draw of lots. From next lot of 120 , it meant 78% of 120 arriving to 93.8 , so alloted 93 which is higher than 60.
Similarly , in ICICI Prudential, preferential category ,even if oversubcribed by 11.9485 times , all applications adding to 25933 at minimum lot of 44 added to 1,141,052 much less than shares on offer ,18,134,105. Hence, each catagory of application lotwise was allotted 8.36% (1/11.9485). Hence those who applied 440 and less were allotted one lot by draw of lots at different ratios. Those above 440 were alloted one lot plus proprotiante at each step.
This occurs when oversubscription happens from smaller number of application each one applying with larger numbers of lots. Therefore, it is suggested to apply with maximum lots in allowed , in this case 169 in shareolder portion as applicants are limiited.
Dear Ou Ai Good work. Thank you. I applied 7 application 156 shares each in shareholder account and 13 shares retail account in all application on first day itself. There is no such difference in 156 and 169 (Allotment may be 2 or three shares less in 156 category).
I have one doubt on your post above. Will be thankful, if you could clarify.
Biocon case,
" From the next lot of 120, ......", due you mean all applicants in the 120 shares bracket got an allotment of 93 shares ? Please elaborate.
Further,
Is it that only 32 out of 41 in the 60 shares bracket got allotment ? Please elaborate.

Yes Andi. only 32 out of 41 were allotted. 78% of minimum lot can not be allotted. quantum of shares for those who applied at minimum lot is decided at 78% of total shares applied at minimum level. To be within that , it is necessary to have a draw of lots to eliminate 9 out of 41.
Hold for long time If possible average it After Hdfc listing ICICI sec.and Rnam will be moved upwards (imo)

Yes it often happens, same sector shares surge simultaneously. But I doubt original IPO price of Rs. 520 will be achieved in near future. ICICI group always prices to the brim
I booked 30% losses in ICICI securities and switched to another stocks, please book your losses and go for HDFC or HDFC Bank or Bajaj Finance or Bandhan Bank which are doing good
Dear Ou Ai I already told you HDFC AMC Shareholder allotment is different from Syngene International and ICICI PRUDENTIAL. 1. In Syngene go through allotment process. You can find one applicant filed application 96,000 shares and allotted 74742. One Biocon Shareholder can apply any number of shares. 2. Whereas HDFC AMC MAXIMUM CAP IS FIXED(2lakh 3. You always mentioning retail and shareholder quota is similar. Yes Sir I accept. 4. In HDFC AMC shareholder quota all applicant will get 13 shares each upto maximum applicant 1,84,615. If issue gets subscribed below 1,84,615 forms.
Admin please remove this thread. Waste of time and resources. Excepting this guy, nobody cares about ICICI securities now. Everyone is looking at HDFC AMC ipo. Don't entertain all and sundry queries about shares held by people.
Dear Ou Ai HDFC AMC ALLOTMENT is different from Syngene International. In Syngene one Biocon shareholder applied 96,000 share and allotted 74,000 shares. IN HDFC AMC SHAREHOLDER QUOTA. ALL THE 1.84,615 APPLICANTS WILL GET MINIMUM LOT OF ALLOTMENT IF NUMBER OF APPLICATION IS BELOW 1,84,615. IN HDFC AMC MAXIMUM CAP IS FIXED FOR SHAREHOLDER QUOTA THAT IS 2 LAKH
HDFC AMC SHAREHOLDER ALLOTMENT IS DIFFERENT FROM SYNGENE INTERNATIONAL. IN SYNGENE INTERNATIONAL ONE SHAREHOLDER OF BIOCON APPLIED 96,000 SHARES AND ALLOTED 74000 SHARES WHEREAS IN HDFC AMC MAXIMUM CAP IS FIXED FOR 2 LAKH.
