SHAREHOLDER QUOTA ALLOTMENT RATIO. Assuming 70000 application. 1. 70000 applicants will be allotted 13 shares firm allotment. 2.(70000x13=910000) Shareholder quota is 24 lakh shares deduct 910000 shares. So 14,90,000 shares available for proportionate basis allotment to those applied above 13 shares. 3. Number of shares applied 64,56,000 deduct 9,10,000 shares balance 55,46,000 shares to be allotted proportionately. 4.55,46,000 deduct number of shares available for allocation is 14,90,000. It comes 3.7 times. 5.Those who applied 52 shares category will get 27 shares.(52 divided by 3.7) 6.Likewise those who 156 shares applied they will get 55 shares. 7. If application is more than 70000 then allotment of shares will come down likewise if application is less than 70000 then allotment of shares will be high.
Nice Info. Hope investors had read my advice in message 178.1 "You are right but it would still be worth taking a chance and apply for 169 shares / 13 lots in Shareholder category if one has sufficient funds" and applied in full force.
Ur calculation is perfect.. But heard from street that application count are 82000-90000 in shareholder quota.. And yes there would be rejection too in this category
Hi friends I applied 24 applications with different pan. How many applications possible I get as per ratio? Is is better to sell all applications at Kostak?
I've a doubt - Can anybody help me to solve it. I've read in comment section that many have mentioned in retail that 4:1 is the allotment ratio and I've checked in retail category 6.73 times applied. So it should be 7:1 instead of 4:1.
In case of oversubscription in retail category, it doesn't matter how many lots you applied. Any person can get max 1 lot for each application and that also on lottery basis. So it comes to how many applications submitted. And application wise subscription is 4.25, that's why for each 4 application 1 application will be allotted shares.
app wise it is subscribed only 4.3 times..some apps get rejected because of wrong pan or multiple bids from same account..so the allotment will be 1 for 4 apps in retail only..

i think the interpretation is correct... the allotment ratio shall be less than 6.73X... as many a applicants have applied in higher category than the minimum category.. Had it been that all the persons have applied in MINIMUM CATEGORY... the number of applicants and OVERSUBSCRIPTION would have been the same as 6.73X..
Normally... the OVERSUBSCRIPTION ratio is always much more than the ALLOTMENT ratio... due to this difference in APPLICATION AMT... from MINIMUM TO MAXIMUM in retail category
I have applied for 25 lots or 325 shares in NII category. What is chance of shares allocating for me? You will get 2 shares in each 25 lots so maximum you will get 50 shares
Dear Mohan and ipostar. Both will be allotted 13 shares on lottery basis. Because HNI quota subscribed 195 times. Both of you remote chance of allotment.
@Dr Mohan, he'll not get 2 share per lot. Overall chance is that he'll get only 2 shares. As NII category subscribed 195 times, so for each 195 share applicant will get only 1 share. He applied for 325 shares, so he will get only 1 or 2 shares.
Trading range GMP 520-600 Kostak 1450-1600 Subject to allotment 5200-6000 It may different city to city Advice Those who applied 1-3 application should sell in kostak Those who applied 3-8 should book profit in subject to allotment (6000) Those who applied more then 8 should wait until listing This is my view Don't follow blindly Use your sense
