few banks blocked amount before 1 day of allotment day,Today is the last day amount should blocked, else there is technical problem and same application will not be considered

In icicidirect demat account there is a section by name Allocate funds where there are separate fields for secondary market, IPO, OFS, etc.

Money in proportion to the number of shares applied was allocated before applying.

There is an provision to reduce/add from the money allocated. Now, if I play around with this by reducing the allocated money to find out whether the same has been blocked or not, won't this be detrimental to the chances of allocation ?? Please advice !!!

First ICICI should not allow you to play around blocked fund, at least reduce amount of blocked fund should not be allowed

looking at current scenario the way market and investment Dynamics are changing more and more people are coming to equity market via SIP and the percentage of total Investors is still belw or near 5% ( don't have any of exact no.) of Indian population. Mutual fund industry is having a target of 10% population of India will connect in future to equity mkts via mutual funds.. ICICI , HDFC , MOTILAL , AXIS , RELIANCE CAP are some of the leader in mutual fund industry. and they will grow in future abt 15--20% yoy. So I don't have any doubt on HDFC AMC for long term.. I will not be surprised if it becomes 5X in next 5-6yrs. no doubt short term is fully priced in. ( Correct me if I'm wrong in some points)

Before writing any comment do your home work properly. HDFC life IPO price 290. Listing price 311. Listing day high 369, low 307, close 344. If you buy in grey market you need to exit on first day first hour. For long term what is the price of HDFC life now?
