I have applied as Individual investor for one lot in Zerodha but it's giving me discount of 31 rupees. Just wondering do retailers also get 31 discount? I have checked again and I have applied via individual investor page only. Please advise

You are free to sell any number of shares on listing day..1 share, 2 shares or 630 shares. Lots restrictions is only while applying for IPO

But in SME you have to buy/sell in Lots.

Dear Experts, I want to apply in HNI category. but i am unable to apply & i am redirected to below message. Dies this mean that my bank has not allowed to bid more than 2 lacs or what does it mean . pls guide. how can i apply under HNI category.

@AAvi... To technical advantage of applying for anything higher than minimum required. Some people use it as totka to apply for 69, 71 lots, which can even backfire if becomes only member for that particular lot no.
Some big HNI apply with huge lots applications ( in crores rs.), may be from multiple accounts for same no. of lots to get one confirmed lot. That is only reason I can think of when I see 3 people applied for 1000 lots and 1 got 1 lot allotment.

1. So it's like this- as the lot increases the number of applications reduces. If you have sufficient funds then go for maximum lot with sufficient number of applications so as to cross allotment ratio to get one confirmed allotment.
2. Also, as it was in SME, rounding take place? One must cross 0.5?

I am not able to place a bid above 2 lakh in my yes bank through ASBA. it says the max allowed is 2lakh. what may be the reason? kindly guide.

@Nifty Singh, perhaps you are trying to apply under ‘Shareholder’ Investor category. If so, change that to ‘Individual Retail/HNI’ and then you should be able to place over 2 lacs.

I had applied for 1 lot in bhni category, but axis bank let me apply in RII category for individuals/huf > 2 lacs....is it correct bid?

I am getting only option of retail individual and shareholder in onlibe sbi, can you please help.

Same here , I think they have removed this feature

for sHNI click option Retail Individual as any retail individual applying above 2lakh automatically becomes HNI.

Sir, is SBI still allows 5 applications from 5 different Accounts through SBI NETBANKING for IPOs ? or Other 4 Applications liable to get Rejected? Rules are Changed Now? Please Confirm on this.


Did Anyone apply for Syrma SGS technology & Dreamfolks? No allotment from other demat Account applications other than yours? As few are saying rules are Changed Have u applied and got allotment from Other Demat account accounts applications through SBI netbanking other than your Demat Account ?

According to rules 3rd party applications are liable for rejection. you have two days in hand and online account opening is game of few minits. so better way is open account- use that ASBA/ UPI.
Few are still getting allotment by third party but will not suggest it to you.

I had applied for 1 lot in SYRMA SGS & was allotted 68 shares which I sold in lots @284 to 313 on listing day

I have 2 own account & 2 third party account & 8L+, Is it wise to apply in all 4 account or through 2 own accounts of 4L+ each? (If 3rd party asba applications gets rejected though I don't have any concrete proof).
