Nope. A PAN card linked to Bank Account and Demat Account is mandatory to apply in an IPO.

Please update the time till which we can accept the UPI mandate in all IPO pages. It is still showing 12 PM on the next day of closing. This can cause confusion for newbies.

As per new rules, you must accept before 5 pm on last day.

I've around 11.5 lakhs to invest in Harsha with 5 PAN,should I apply 1 bHNI & 4 retail or 5 sHNI for maximum allotment chances?

12 retail and one SHNI applied... Waise retail ka subscription ab tak jyada nahi hai..sab retailers hni ban gaye hai.. ye bahut kuch indicate karta hai. Fir bhi retail 10 times to jana hi chahiye last day tak.

I am guessing retail will go upto 30-40 times. ppl are getting crazy about applying it

@Prasen IPO... Yes i have been busy.. good to see you too.. was alloted two lots in syrma. Still holding it. And about Harsha, it's good strategy to apply multiple retail applications rather than two SHNI applications when you have limited funds. Something is better than nothing.
@milton i don't think it will go to 30 40 times.. people are crazy for this ipo but they are more crazy for applying in SHNI for first time as you can see most of the comments are coming from those people who are applying in SHNI. I think retail maximum will go 15 times.. let's see.

I think after sometime all banks will disable third party asba mode 🤔 🤣

You can, but chances of rejection, especially in such heavily oversubscribed ipo.

Hi All, I have been applying ipo HNI but no luck.. let's suppose this ipo is subscribed 56 times in SHNI... Is it better to apply 65 lots in SHNI under one demat/pan or 4 seperate SHNI applications with 15 lots each ? Which one had better probability....

Obviously, 4 sHNI applications of 15 lots each has four times more allotment probability / chances than 1 sHNI application of 65 lots.
Still better is 5 sHNI of 14 lots or 1 bHNI of 68 lots.

Hi I understand 5 SHNI had better probability than 1BHNI but 1 BHNI will be getting 14 lots so it has better profit ratio if it's picked in lottery which had less probability compared to SHNI... So to get minimum profit is advisable for 5 SHNI rather than 1 BHNI right?

Can anyone explain BHNI allotment according to the new rule ?? or give any link to read about it

If bHNI quota in undersubscribed, allotment is proportionate.
If bHNI quota is oversubscribed, allotment is lottery, & lucky allotes get 14 lots of shares ~ worth around 2 lakhs.

Which Private bank's net banking is best for ASBA application in the case of the Big HNI Category in terms of last date cut-off time and easiest way of applying through it other than HDFC Bank?

And does the bank give Interest on funds blocked in IPO Application?

SBI- 2 pm (I Prefer because of good interface)

Kotak bank app/netbanking may be showing SME IPOs, but kotak securities app/netbanking don't show sme ipos, even in morning or 1pm.

If I apply for two lot. One using UPI and another using ASBA from same depository, would my application be rejected?

Also what do you mean by third party asba, I have seen a lot of people talk about it? Is it the same as normal asba?

It will be rejected. Application should be one per one pan, upi or asba, retail or hni, one or multiple demat a/c.
3rd party asba means you have multiple demat a/c (max. 5) with multiple unique names, but you apply multiple ipo applications from one bank a/c in one single name.
Whether you can apply or not, & if apply, how many different names varies with different banks.

Is ASBA option available in KOTAK HUF account? and which account is recommended for good interest rate when the IPO funds are idle for HUF mainly...

Yes. ASBA available for HUF a/c.
Savings a/c will fetch you 3.5/4% depending on amount in kotak bank, 3.5 in hdfc bank & natuonalised, & 7% in au alike small finance bank.

How can a retail individual apply for BHNI category application
Can apply thorugh ASBA of RS. 10,09,800 in Harsha Engineers IPO ?
or there any other specific method to apply in BHNI category application

Select NII / Institutional / RII more than 2 lacs category - instead of RII.
U need to apply ASBA only.
UPI doesn't work for bHNI.

I have a question while applying from hdfc bank, there is no option for Hni category.
So I have to only place 630 shares at cutoff or something else? or can apply rii only from hdfc bank?

Select Institutional investor & don't select "cut-off", instead select upper price band amount.

Can I add multiple ASBA beneficiary in Kotak?

Chahe SB/Current koi bhi ho.
Demate Trading Account kahin bhi Rakho.

You can manage 3 accounts per one mobile kotak app, but you can't apply 3rd party ASBA.
Only 1st holder in each a/c can apply. So with 3 accounts of different name, 3 persons can apply asba.

You will 14 lots if alloted in sHNI.

Harsha IPO Applied 36 individual applications on 1st day itself..
Trying to applied more till last day..
Finger crossed till 21-22 September allotment day..

How do you manage.

I think we should apply for 16-17 or 18 lots in HNI instead of 14 lot because probability of getting allotment in 1/10 times subscription will be higher than 10/100 times subscription

The allotment ratio will be same for 68 or 120.
Priority should be for applying maximum number applications.
Once Max out application and have surplus fund (Not required for SME) then can try for some luck.

Consider one have 20 accounts and oversubscription by application count is less than 20 then applying in a particular lot with 20 application have higher chance . That said if there is another applicant applying on same lot then allotment can be for the other applicant. so nothing confirmed.

To simplify in your words, 2/10 is definitely better than 2/100 (3/10 -> 4/10 progressively better). But you never know the magic figure, how many application at particular no of lots, so ultimately it is luck mightier than maths/strategy.

Allotment is same for both, sHNI & bHNI, 14 lots ~ 2 lakhs.
