Yes it is possible if you give your credentials like mobile no and email which i did for my mothers acc and got alloted shares many times earlier but the only condition is that u cant apply with your wife's application through ASBA from your bank account as there are many instances of rejecting third party applications but if you chose upi as option to block the amount then your UPI id also works

Your phone number and your email id is ok but I doubt that your wife's DMAT account can be opened with your bank account. More clarity can be provided by contacting broker's customer care.

You need to open bank account with your wife name before opening demat/trading account as it needs to link with your wife account.

It is Possible but its useless!
If you both gonna apply for the IPO then your chances are allotment super low! For an increase chance of IPO allotment you should consider three of the following
1. Demat account with Your Own Pan No .
2. Demat Account with your Own Savings Account
3. Everything Should Linked to each other Bank Account , Pan and Demant Account!

Sorry,i didnt mentioned about the bank account while opening the demat account.
Your's wife bank account should be added while opening the demat account as the broker will deposit 1rs to verify the details and it has to sync your wife's name in demat acc with same name in the bank account-This happened to me while opening acc in Zerodha,Groww and Upstox account.Except this ,you can provide your mob and email id.

The bank account should be in your wifes name
U can use same Mobile no and email if the broker is different from your existing one.

What u want is to increase your no. Of chances for applying in an IPO. And this way u can do so, by keeping some funds in your wife's new bank account.

So conclusion is: I need to open my wife’s bank account first to open demat account.

i have 7 major + 2 minor demat ac. (All family members)

out of 7 major ac,
Bank Ac, Demat Ac, Aadhar number, & pan number where used for self person only (In whose name i have opened ac, given that person documents only)
out of above 7 + 2 ac, in 4(major ac) + 1 (minor ac, by default) the mobile number and mail id is mine only.

While opening the bank ac & Demat ac, there also i have my mobile number & email id.

Hence i am using netbanking for ASBA, as well as trading also. As it is all my family member ac only.

If your wife is joint holder in account you can open Demat account with any local broker

If you apply 14/15/16 till 67 lots in Shni category
You would only get 14 lots in lottery
and few lucky allottees may get an extra share

Shni is very small category.... maximum 1338 allottees can be there

Shni 16 times oversubscribed means roughly one out of 16 (each one of 16 applicants has applied 14-67 lots of share) will get 14 lots of shares.

Better to stick to Retail 1lot application if one doesn’t have own funds for sHNI 2lk. Knowing that it is just 4% probability in SHNI, there is no point to apply with borrowed funds. As GMP is also high (200+), even 1 lot allotment will give 9k+ profit which also has 3x=13% probability.

It is just my view, one can say.. in Shni even if it is very low probability, if super lucky can get 14lots allotment and make huge profit.

Any individual applying 2L to 10L comes under SHNI.
Anything more than 10L is BHNI

your sHNI estimate is too low considering its already 15x in sHNI day 2 12 pm..

@iamnimit.. shni 24x is application wise and final num after rejections. 24x can be slightly low but not too low as u mentioned. Lets wait for 25hrs 😀

with estimated retail subscription 8x and bHNI 6x, Does this mean allotment probability is good in bHNI category?

I feel your estimates are way off the target.
You have based your estimates on dreamfolks but looking at the fancy of this IPO and prevailing GMP of almost 70% which is almost double of what GMP dreamfolks had (approx 35%) at the time when its issue was open for subscription, I feel SHNI would be atleast 40x and BHNI would be atleast 10x.

Shares worth 2 lacs.

No Guarantee. If oversubscribed by more than 68 Times. May be one Lot in Lottery + shres of Pro-rata. If less than 68 Times, One Lot is confirmed and some shares in Pro-rata.

Present Data on NSE + BSE is Non Institutional Investors(Bid amount of more than Ten Lakh Rupees) 18.17 times and Non Institutional Investors(Bid amount of more than Two Lakh Rupees upto Ten Lakh Rupees) 25.37 times. Therefore, I predict that BHNI will be 45 times and SHNI will be 65 times.

bHNI will overtake sHNI on last day.

Please clarify following doubt:
If SHNI 40X, chance of allotment 100/40=2.5%
If BHNI 60X, chance of allotment 100×5/60=8.3%, as BHNI applies 5 times of SHNI
Here I have assumed that both have applied for minimum lots in their respective category.
Please let me know if my understanding is OK or not.

AS THE ISSUE IS HIGHLY OVERSUBSCRIBED IN SHNI AND IF YOU ARE LUCKY IN LOTTERY, YOU WILL GET ONE LOT ONLY OF 45 SHARES OTHERWISE NOTHING. THE SAME FORMULA IS FOR BHNI.
