Hi All Invest in IPO's only for listing gains.. Holding longterm in all ipos dose not yeild any return, because for every 30 years economy undergoes several changes and only 2% will be survived and remaining 98% will go bankruptcy (or) get merged into good ones.. For very long term i have listed below compounder stocks, Happy investing 1. HDFC BANK 2. asian paints 3. Abbott industries 4. Bajaj finance 5. Nestle india 6. Pidilite industries 7. Icici lombard 8. Embassy Reit 9. Dixon technologies 10. HDFC Life 11. Kotak mahindra bank 12. Britannia Industries 13. Reliance Industries 14. TCS 15. Eicher Motors
Excellent message. Layman also has an option to invest in Index funds and participate in growth of all the above stocks. Invest regularly. This is a tension free strategy. The need of day to day excitement in stock market leads to depletion in value of portfolio. Patience is supreme. We also have a history of 'zero' percent CAGR from Sensex over a decade. It may happen again!!!
@Sagar I respect your view. Since these are well known names and have major market share in their respective fields they all are a very safe bait. They will give sufficient returns over the period of years as compared to fd returns. But the problem with these names are 1. They are overvalued. 2. In last 5 years most of the names have given max 2-2.5× returns. 3. The investors we are talking here about are small investors like us who want their account grow EXPONENTIALLY with small capital. 4. Irrespective of what these companies have delivered over long term, believe me no one of us have the patience to hold funds for that much period. 5. We should and must try to find stocks which are having high demand and low free float. We can also take help of parameters like VCP breakout, 52 week high, EMA to select these stocks. Through this medium we can generate good wealth and that too within short period of time. Some examples are Affle, Fine Organics, Deepak Nitrite, Laurus Labs, Hindustan Foods, IOLCP, Hindustan Foods, Dixon, Amber, Dhanuka, etc.
