You have to open a SB account exclusively in the name of the minor with father or mother as a natural guardian. To my knowledge SBI and Bank of India permit opening of such accounts. Secondly no broker can refuse opening an account in the name of a Minor. I have opened demat account in the name of my grand daughter with Ventura Securities. Only draw back here is minor if allotted with shares in an IPO it cannot be sold by minor direct because a minor is incompetent to execute any contract. Hence allotted shares have to be transferred to guardian's demat account and then sell.

There is an article about this on Chittorgarh. You can contact Prostocks Mumbai and open trading/demat account there. Open savings bank account in any bank of your choice. You can apply for IPO through online ASBA of that bank in minor's name.

Prostocks is best broker for minor account, you dont need to transfer shares to parent account for sell, using single window you can directly sell. Also you can purchase shares directly into minor account in cash segment.

You can. Create minor bank and demat account . You can apply it. Trading account you won't get it. If shares alloted and you want to sell . First you need to transfer shares to your account and then sell it.

@Savi sir, मैं kotak बैंक में 3 इन 1 एकाउंट saving, डिमैट , trading account खुलवाने गया तो कोटक वाले बोले trading account minor का नहीं खुल सकता है।
कृपया यह बताये की minor के लिए online netbanking kotak से ASBA apply कर सकते हैं क्या ?

I have a demat account for my minor son in HDFC. Initially I had to make physical ASBA as HDFC Bank won't allow online ASBA for Minors. Now I apply using Kotak Bank ASBA online.
If there is any allotment then I transfer the allotted shares to my (father's) demat account. Hope this information helps.
Most of the bank branch folks are clueless about demat for minor. I had a hard time setting up online ASBA for Kotak Bank. They kept saying it is getting rejected by the main office. I literally used the Branch Manager's terminal to request online ASBA with proper parameters and then it got approved.

None Bank can allow Minor Application Online. You need to submit Form at your bank to apply for that.

Dear Sir,
You could use the SBI Bank account of yours or any family member to apply in IPO on Minor's name.

Can i use my other family member INDUSIND bank account to apply for 5 DEMAT account i.e. 2ICI, 1UPSTOX, 2Zerodha?

Account in BOB bank , applied by Bobnetbznking ASBA services.
Bank account on name of my son(minor) operated by me.

Go for Route. Happiest will be oversubscribed so much that chances of allotment will be least. But, for Route, subscription will be less compared to Happiest.
