Sorry Guys. Proportionate does not mean the calculation anybody has shown above. Please check allotment in SBI CARDS and IRCTC. In those IPO's as well HNI was set for Proportionate allotment. IN IRCTC, minimum bid that got allotment is 300 Crore. Anybody has applied below this, ,did not get any allotment. Link for allotment figures. https://www.chittorgarh.com/ipo_basis_of_allotment/irctc-ipo/1018/
IN SBI, under HNI category, right from lowest bidder got allotment but again it was allotted on lottery basis. Lowest bidder with 266 shares category got allotment with 12:37 ratio. So Every 12 people out of 37 got allotment who has applied for 266 shares in HNI category. https://www.chittorgarh.com/ipo_basis_of_allotment/sbi-cards-ipo/1025/
Disclaimer - Please go through links carefully. Understand figures and then comment. SO in both above IPO's, HNI was proportionate basis but in background alltoment basis was different. Calculation explained by others of proportionate does stand valid.
Jonny is correct...simba you cannot divide like that bcz minimum 1 lot needs to be allotted ... someone applying for more than 50lakh only will get confirm allotment...for the rest it is very minimal lottery possibility
kish, its 325 times of offered shares. It means for each 1 share offered there are 325 shares requested. If your statement assumed to be true, it means for every 1 share offer there is bid for 325 X 90 =29950 shares. Thats can't be true!!! Samjhe!!!
Simsa...Hni is a proportion system and not like a retail system...
If it was a full proportionate system whatever you said is correct...but since the rule says minimum allotment is 1 lot which is 90 shares...only those who apply for oversubscribed times of lots will be allotted..
you can check rossari basis of allotment tab for more clarification...
Bhai it is 351.46 times of 6343513 shares so total shares applied for in HNI category is 2229491078.98. Any one who applied for more than 352 lots or more will get at least 1 lot.
@johny and @shims you both are wrong. Its times subscribed means for 1 share 352 shares demanded. Application wise will be lesser only. For example if application wise its 100 times them the guy who have applied 100 lots will get 1 lot for sure. If have applied 352 in your case will get 3 lota for sure and the reat 52 will go for lottery. Thank you.
If HNI subscription is 352 times you have to make it as 1/352 = 0.00284
Then, No of Shares applied X 0.00284 = No of shares HNI will be allotted.
Lets take an example , HNI have applied for Rs 1 core so it would be amount / per share value ==> total share applied (convert to the nearest lot size) 10000000 / 166 ==> 60240 shares ; 60240 /90 (per lot) ==> 669.34 lots (convert to whole number)
669 x 90 ==> 60210 shares applied X 0.00284 = 170 shares HNI will get.
Hope this clarify you guys.

girishkumar, you are absolutely spot on!!! One requires some logic & maths knowledge to understand this. So if you have applied through HNI you get proportionate share
You will receive = (6,343,513 /351.46) X number of shares you have bid for.
So i request few people on this board to brush up their skills before investing in the market rather than to throw any random figures.
correction on figure missed formula should should be 6,343,513/(351.46)*6,343,513* number of shares applied that is (1/351.46) * number of shares apllied

Hello Guys hope doing good.. what may be the listing price for Happiest Minds IPO. any expertise based on your share marketing experiences any thoughts on listing values on this..
I am new to applying IPOs. I have applied for HMTL from my HDFC demat account. Immediately after applying, the amount was deducted from savings account without showing any deduction amount in the statement.
I can see the bid number on the BSE website with my application number and pan number correctly reflecting. However, the UPI status confirmation table indicates the status as PENDING. Is there any action that I need to take? Why does it show PENDING even though the amount has been held.
I applied to ipo first time through upi. I received notification in phone pay upi but by mistake i enter wrong upi, now will i receive notification again for payment? Now what suppose to i do?
I have applied for this IPO by filling form and submitting to a bank...while checking status on BSE website it says that "UPI status". Is pending but there is 1 Bid ID. Does this mean my application will not be accepted till UPI status is clear ???
Yesterday night at 9.15, I applied through hdfc netbanking and amount was blocked in account. Today there is some technical error in hdfc asba.
Is my yesterday ipo application in hdfc asba processed successfully? I can see a application number in my ipo order book. Is it possible to check that application number in nse or bse site?
@lekker I checked in above bse site and result is "No Record Found" :( . I belief the hdfc team will take care of all applications for which it has blocked the amount successfully

let me give you advice, never apply IPO before 10 am and after 5 pm, else your application will fall under such kind of issues, All the best.
Earlier I applied most of the ipos outside market hours (after 8pm) and got allotment for some of those successfully. From next time I will try to apply in baking hours.
Finally I tracked my application in bse site https://www.bseindia.com/investors/appli_check.aspx for hdfc asba application :) . Hdfc has submitted my application today in bse.
Yesterday, I have applied for this IPO via Kotak Securities, still my amount is not blocked by bank. Also I haven't received any application no. Received only ORDER id in mail. Pls help me how should i track my application.
