Minors can or cannot apply depending on the ipo instruction in the application. I have applied in minor name for some ipos - Like Power Grid ipo in 2007 which allowed minors to apply and there were some other govt sector companies which allowed minors to apply.

Mostly I have seen private companies do not allow minors to apply. The ipos which came last month none of them allowed minors. Hope Power Grid FPO allows minors to apply.

I think one should avoid this IPO from valuation perspective. It is priced at 19.5x PE and 6.2 times P/B. The networth of the company is only 18 crores and they want to raise 40 cr for 26% stake taking their pre money valuation to 111 crores. They are asking too much.

Is it worth applying for? How much should we invest in this IPO? Kindly provide guidance as i'm new in the field.

Profit generating company with profitable operations india and overseas clearly distinguishes from projects risks for when the profit will come. Baki to risk lene se hi paisa banega.

Clarification on IPO application in the name of minor :

DMat account can be opened in the name of minor with mother/father as guardian. Some ipos allow minor to apply and others don't. The info can first be checked with the instructions in the ipo application under the head WHO CAN BID?. Almost all the ipos in the recent past had allowed HUFs to apply but had not allowed the minors.
The registrars are very prompt in rejecting applications of minors if the company does not allow.

Many Govt Company ipos had allowed minors if I remember- NHPC,SJVN etc

MY QUERY IS ABOUT PSL SO PLEASE HELP

I have some queries pending from the 2nd of october without even receiving the acknowledgement that the reply can be awaited soon. I have already faxed the same thrice. They have a very very lax investor dept.

As far as the dividend goes I received on time and hence have no complains but looking at the messages maybe some shareholders did face some delay.

Your observation regarding shareholding pattern is also a factor to note. Its never a good sign to see institutional holding reduce and that of individual shareholders increase. This usually results in bad stock rice performance.

However at times it is also observed that institutions sell at the lowest price and hopefully the same would happen with PSL.

I do not know how a fund manager like you would find it so difficult to source the ph no or the email ID of PSL. As a retail investor I was able to do it with so much ease. Anways in case you require the same i will mail it to you.

Finally coming to the share price I too think it is no more a play on the short term. Infact even I feel that there is a possibility of the share price moving downwards in the near future till the time the demand scenario does not improve.

But as Gouridas Goswami rightly put it once the capacity is fully utilised there is no limit to PSL profit and all issues of debt will be easily forgotten.

WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS TO COME TO A CONCLUSION AS TO WHAT ALL IS ALREADY FACTORED INTO THE SHARE PRICE TODAY.

Maybe that is why PSL is trading at just 114 or maybe it has a lot more to fall.....

Ind & HUF is different as both are separate entities and is clearly allowed.
