shorting a stock once it hits secondary market is not pessimistic. its just another strategy to earn money from stock market.

asking trade details are not ideal way, just look at the merit of the calls based on the strategy.
if i am not getting an allotment in IPO, and i sense a short selling and make quick 12K - 15K money, on the listing day, what is wrong with that ?

@Stockt: Please do not post any more messages targeting individual members. It is of no use. No body is forcing anyone to do anything.

shorting is not a problem

but check this guy solution of qeuries past history. he has asked to short all ipo on listing day.
this is to fool everyone as he know the low and high would be there and with huge margin

he would then say that he has covered his position to show false information among everyone that his call has gone right
i can assure you that he has not done any trade today but just giving this information

such kind of people give short calls even on excellent companies like dmart, godrej
i would like to benefit retailers not to listen to such frauds

nothing wrong is short selling but giving details of profit is wrong.
Because he might be a big guy and has sources to cover his losses.
What above naive users who become his followers and start doing things like him and if it goes wrong, who will be responsible.
Sometimes i think these strategies take birth here as lots of retailers follow this forum and sometimes it is misused by big fishes to play their dirty games and at the sametime gain followers and trust to continue doing it.

i am quite reader of this forum but sharing something after today conversions of btwn some well known members . I am fully agree with SOQ as he never said to sell their holdings even he posted an another statement where he was saying quick calls not mean of sell holdings , its just if u have extra funds & not got allotments or make extra profits u can trade on his calls . Even he is not posting secondary market trades. When everyone giving tgt. for new listing why can he not ???????? for a quick call for that particular listing ipo only. and only for them who wanna he is not forcing anyone.
I searched his calls he gave 4 times on listing day according to strategy, all 4 times some members made huge profits including they not got allotments. STOCKT only trolling him bcz he already proved wrong .

and IPO ANAYLYSIS , u have no right to make a decision , he never used wrong lang. always give info solutions about quries. Behave like a good member as you are.

Even when SOQ alrdy said holdings & intraday different things but stockt again & again trolling him. whts the wrong in it if someone make more profits on listing day ??/??????

Please read this Business standard article. It''s lengthy but really gives us an idea as to how the allocation to retail happens in an IPO

The total number of applications received in the RII category is grouped together to determine the total demand in this category. If the aggregate demand in this category is less than or equal to the retail portion at or above the offer price (in case of a book-build operation), full allotment may be made to the RIIs to the extent of the valid bids.

However, if demand in this category is greater than the allocation in the retail portion at or above the offer price, then the maximum number of RIIs who can be allotted the minimum bid lot will be computed by dividing the total number of equity shares available for allotment to RIIs by the minimum bid lot, this is known as ‘Maximum RII Allottees’.

Assuming that there are shares worth Rs 10 lakh to be allotted in retail segment and the minimum lot size is worth Rs 10,000. Thus only a maximum of 100 applicants will be receiving the minimum lot of Rs 10,000. Since Sebi says that no RII will be allotted less than the minimum bid lot, in case of over subscription, allocation of shares lower than the minimum lot is not possible. In this case, the Maximum RII Allottees are 100.

In case there is a small oversubscription then first the minimum lot is distributed among all participants and then the balance available equity shares in the retail portion shall be allotted proportionately to the RIIs who have bid for more than one minimum bid lot.

But in case the number of RIIs is more than Maximum RII Allottees, the RIIs (in that category) who will then be allotted minimum bid lot shall be determined on the basis of draw of lots. The draw of lots is now a computerized process and thus there is no room for partiality..

Forum, Modulator, can we have some action against people trying to give some advise to short good IPO as it could be a reason where innocent people sell their shares as such people try to create panic when they dont get any allotment

i gave only for ipo intraday (not for already listed companies) call just simple short & then cover if anyone have more funds & wanna do intraday trades on ipo listing for more profits , i am not saying or forcing anyone ,,,,,if u dont wanna u can skip evn everyone
