​@PLAZA Few weeks back, I opened one normal account, it was active within 2 days.
Minor account which was done late last year.. took 3 to 4 days.

I assumed online application, Max to max within 48 hrs. It will get activated, provided application/documents verification completed successfully.
You can not buy directly from minors demat but can gift/transfer to minors demat and you can sell all the holdings in minor as required also can sell IPO during pre-open and here for minor NO AMC or account opening charges.

Working the same, has separate login's. we can apply for IPO and sell on the same day also.
Buying not allowed, we can gift shares to minor account, which they can sell.
I use mostly ASBA for IPO's, since UPI not allowed for minors.

​@PLAZA Sir, from what I know you cannot directly do buy/sell from minor account in Zerodha.
Angel Broking and Prostocks allow it.
Prostocks though will ask you to open guardian (your son in this case) account as well while opening minor account.

​@GrayIsTheNewBlack @PLAZA As per Zerodha manual, you cannot buy shares in Minor account but IPO can be applied and also these IPO alloted shares can be sold as well. Though to confirm I have raised service request. Also income of minor will be clubbed in higher earning parent

After various representation and discussion with Cluster head of IDFC FIRST BANK Now facility of downloading the acknoledment of ASBA application resumed.

​@CA Saurabh Bansal - From what I know Zerodha doesn't allow you to sell from minor account.
You need to transfer the shares to your account then only you can sell.
The information I have is old though.

​@ArvKaush - I don't use Angel broking for minor account.
I've read on this forum that they do allow, maybe you can confirm with customer care before opening the account.

Dear @PLAZA Which bank allow below 10 years minor account online ASBA facility.

I called zerodha हेल्पलाइन and as per them one can transfer shares in cdsl zerodha to zerodha by just adding details of demat in which shares are to be transferred by cdsl service and if want to gift then confirmation required on mobile and email to whom shares are to be gifted ....

Zerodha me share sell kar sakte he. Mene 1 guardian ke ander 2 minor account open kiye he. First dono me Bharti hexa allot huye or abhi recent me 1 account me Indegen allot hua he. Or cdsl eassiest me signup karke easily share transfer kar sakte he. Mere hisab se zerodha abhi minor ke liye best he

​@Rajiv RR Today account has opened and received login ID and create kite account but while searching profile DEMAT ACCOUNT NO IS not given . When this will be available as mail received stating that account is active in both exchanges. Without Demat one can't apply ipos.

​@PLAZA ji..I think depository id will get updated by monday, might due to weekend, it might have not got created. Hoping it be available by monday...last time..I too opened on Saturday and was able to apply by monday 2nd half for an IPO.

​@Rajiv RR Thank you . Now it is shown in account section but in profile shown as NA .
Why it is do ? Also mail received that account is activated on all exchanges whereas bse exchange is shown as deactivated . What to do for activation though nse activated . Is it normal or we hv to go for activation .Pl any idea about it ..
Also as Demat account is mentioned in Accounts detail and edit code received but client master not recd so far .so Can I apply In ipo on Monday...

​@PLAZA I had similar issues, I had to wait for working day. it was done by monday 2nd half and I could apply. Hoping it would be the same case with you and apply on monday 2nd half.

​@Rajiv RR Ok .As throgh idfc first ipo application of minor will be in physical mode so will send by 12.30 pm on Monday as 1 pm is last time for physical applications .Hope it works . Txs

@shiva if you belonging to Maharashtra go for BOM

Presently I m banking with idfc first where ASBA for minor to be applied in physical mode . Though I hv previlage to pick and minor account giving example of hdfc and yes bank so that facility can be start at the earliest.
