@Chhote Lal If you read the SEBI rules, it does say that multiple applications are liable to be rejected , but it is not clear from the language, at least to me, if that means that all bids will be rejected or all but one will be rejected . Given that SEBI rules also say that HNI applications cannot be withdrawn or downsized, there might be a conflict between the two rules. In my opinion, if a RTA allows the HNI bid and rejects the retail one, especially for poorly subscribed IPOs, it would be acting in line with the spirit of the rules. If a HNI application can automatically be withdrawn just by making an additional retail application, the rule that disallows HNI bids from being withdrawn will be meaningless.
