Many members (including me) asking for process of allotment under share holder quota. 1. Lottery system or amy other method ? 2. Is there same chance of allotment for both the cases in share holder quota : apply 1 lot or 14 lot ?
Request to Expert Gurus & Chittorgarh Admin. Please help to get clarity.
Even if shareholder quota is subscribed 20x times, number of applications will be less compared to Retail or HNI quota hence chances of allotment are better in Shareholder quota. You can also apply in Retail or HNI quota as usual along with Shareholder quota (two separate applications) to maximize your chances of allotment hence you got nothing to lose by applying in shareholder category. Cheers!!
@Kring Only retailers can apply two applications one in retail and another in shareholder
HNI can''t apply in shareholder, it will treat as multiple applications and both applications are liable for rejection. It''s clearly mentioned in DRHP.
Yes, I stand corrected, only Retailers can apply for both in Retail and Shareholder quota via two separate applications, HNIs are not allowed. So best strategy to maximize your chances of allotment is to apply in Shareholder category to the maximum lots possible (up to 2L Rupees) and one lot in Retail category per PAN. Cheers!!

Dear group members please explain the meaning of "proportionate allotment" in shareholders quota. Is it similar to allotment of shares as is done in HNI quota.
Yes it''s same like HNI but here one more condition is subject to minimum 1 lot , So first they will try to allot at least 1 lot for every valid application same like retail lottery system.

If applied application are less than available lots for sharesholder category then all will get at least one lot, allotment is on proportionate basis subject to minimum one lot. Remaining available shares will be distributed proportionally as per number of lots applied.
But if applied applications are more than available lots of sharesholder category then draw of lots , all allottee application will get maximum 1 lot only. Remaining unlucky applications will get NIL .
BUT as first factor of allotment is proportionate so who applied more lots they will be in top priority when draw of lots algorithm applied. Same like HNI.
I would suggest if fund is not an issue then apply with maximum allowed lots in this category.
This is my understanding as per DRHP & past history IPOs where shareholder reservation was present.
I may be wrong about top priority for maximum lots application.
@chalak ji 👆 I hope I have tried to answer your que.
Let''s wait for RHP then I will write email to registrar to get clear answer about top priority for who applied more lots when number of applications received more than available lots.

Dear Admin, This person is spamming same message multiple times on all IPO pages? Is this he want to earn comments count? Also he is liking to his own messages.
Please make a note of this.
Now a days people stopped posting PAN cards for allotment check so looks like this is new gimmick to increase count. Paymzia, allotment guru ke bhai ho kya?
