@Aniketiaf ji, there is some calculation mistake in ntpc buyback process. Suppose you have 1600 shares & acceptance ratio is say 40 % so 640 shares confirm buy back by company but if final acceptance ratio goes up to 50 % than 800 shares will be taken back only if you tender full 1600 shares. As per your strategy if you sell 50% shares immediately after record date (assuming 50 % final acceptance ratio) than your 800 shares will not be taken back as you will only tender 800 shares instead of 1600. They will take back 640 (40%) confirm shares plus 10 % of 160 shares that is 16 more, so total 816 shares will be taken back if you submit 800 shares on buyback. Sharing details with my personal experience on QUICK HEAL BUYBACK. Hope its clear

Yes sir ji, you are right.
Actually whenever I purchased share for tender in buyback , I kept all till buyback starts and tendered all. Many times my all shares had been taken ( IOC, nmdc, ongc, TCS.......) Hence not experienced such condition. So, Now in NTPC , one can sell 50% of share after record date whenever rate favours and after finalization of Entitlement Ratio(ER) he can re-purchase same qty if rate favours and tender all during buyback.
Can one participate in buy back without giving POA to broker? I have trading account with upstox and I have not given POA. Two years ago I tried but at that time I got message that I can not participate in buy back without giving POA.
Must apply.. I know people will shout but it's truth high growth companies always gives listing gain..it doesn't matter whether higher price band or China factor..one must see only profitability..of don't trust then check FII AND NII data on last day..it's better to arrage funds and forms from today rather to run on last day.. please kept this message till last day of ipo..
Avoid this IPO and buy bpcl at current market price. Target 450 within 3 months with 300 stop loss. I have bought 200 shares today at market price. Please deep think on it.

Pradip IPO,
Company has very strong balance sheet. But, The size of issue (about 6500 Cr) is a very big concern for me. It may give max 6/7 % listing gain, But again downside will have no limits.
I will not apply.
In stead, I am concentrating on NTPC buy back for a profit of 15-35% within 2 months.
Aniket ji, what is your suggestion regarding buyback of HPCL shares? Regarding NTPC, I have purchased 1600 shares today on an average of Rs.85.65 and 139 shares are still to be purchased. Your marvellous analysis is helping us a lot. Thank you very much for your kind response.
market cap of ntpc is 84 k cr. and 2.59 % with non institutional = ~ 2180 Cr. given 15 % of total buy back 2200 k cr reserved for retailers = 341 cr. So, if all retailers tender their shares, acceptace ratio will be < 20%. 5-10 Rs loss on 80 % shares may wipe 30 Rs profit on 20%. Am i missing something ?
Common man ji, we expect that the AR will not be less than 30% as all the retailers may not tender the shares for buyback due to 1) ignorance of the buyback offer, 2) confidence of getting better price than that of buyback, 3) missing out for various reasons. If the AR is 20% only, as you mentioned, it will be definitely a loo deal.
Kamma ji, HPCL buy back is from open market. Not from share holders by tender offer. NTPC buy back, I think this time government will also participate in buy back offer.
Dear Sri Dreems unlimited ji and Sri NAND KISHORE PARWAL ji, Thank you very much for your kind response and cautionary suggestions. Only because of the cautious comments and advises, we are learning and then only proceeding. Very kind of you, gentlemen. Keep guiding us as and when we pray for.

shivani ji,
200000/115 = 1739.13
A maximum 1739 share can be bought to get maximum benefit as retailer. As I am expecting a Final AR should be 50% or above so on a safer side one can sell 50% of his holding on or after 12 Nov (As 13 Nov is record date) . A maximum 10% loss may be there as record date is just 6 trading day away . Now leftover 50% share probably be taken by company during buyback at about 35% gain on present rate of 85. Hence A 12-15% profit within two months may happen which should be considered a very good return.
Aggressive investor like me can keep 100% shares as the final AR may reach upto 100% also. Hence A 20-25-35 % return can't be ruled out.
Aniketiaf ji, don't divide by 115/. Divide rate will be the closing price of record date, which may be around 90/. Don't expect 50% or 100% acceptance ratio in this buy back. I expect between 30 to 40% only.
Hi, Aniketji.. As you have mentioned that on safer side, one can sale 50% share on or after 12 Nov. In that case, one will be able to tender remaining 50% share in buyback. So, if acceptance ratio comes to 50% , then all remaining shares will be taken by company or 50% of available share will be taken by company? I mean initially if I buy 1700 shares and I sale 850 shares (50%) on or after 12 Nov. And If acceptance ratio comes to 50%, then all remaining 850 shares will be taken by company or 50% of 850 shares i.e. 425 shares? Thank you ....
sir NTPC BUY BACK . Please note vwap on cut off date will be consideed for arriving 2 L limit for retail . Not buy back price of 115. So at CMP 2200 qty is also retail. One need to moniter / buy sell on last date before ex date if want to apply full.

Amit ABL, As you are holding 1700 shares on record date, so a Scenario of 50% AR, all your 850 shares will be taken. Thanks
FV has no value in pe ratio or any other analysis, that being said good company for long term. I will apply and wait for it to come towards 1300 to add more.

Chinese Fosun Pharma acquired 74% stake in Gland pharma 3 years back @605 per share and now they want 1500 per share although companies EPS also increased from 20 to 50 in last 3 years but price is so high and due to Chinese promoter it is a major concern for the future outlook of this company. it may be very difficult for this company due to ant china sentiment and may be some regulatory issue or something else..... Fosun Pharma spent 7K crores 3 years back and will taken back now 3K crores with 58% stake in gland pharma after the issue....
company is good, balance sheet is very good, fundamental and growth is also good but high price and chinese promoter is a big concern....

Buy HPCL in open market with SL of 210 and sell at 239, irrespective of buy-back offer process. It is in strong momentum and better future quarterly results expected.
