When the first discussion on Gland pharma IPO started, tentative price band was around 1300 with GMP started at 187.
Greedy promoter with Lead manager fixed the price band 1490-1500 and the consequences are now visible.

I guess QIB will be mini 5x.

So promoters and LMs may not bother about HNI and RII interest.

Dont worry. Issue wont be cancelled. As it has already received all fresh issue money. OFS size can always be reduced subject to meeting minimum public holding requirement which have already been achieved

I have invested heavily from Mar-July 2020 in stock market. I have purchased some quality shares like Asian Paints, HDFC Bank, HDFC, ICICI Bank, Hindustan Unilever, Britannia, Dabur, Hero Moto, Pidilite etc during that period.

I have invested in Hybrid mutual funds through SIP route for last few years

Now market is going towards all time high. I want to book some profit.
Should I redeem my mutual funds or should I sell those shares.

@BubbleBoy, currently I have more exposure in debt instruments like PPF/Debt MF/NCDs/FDs etc compared to equity. Earlier I did not had gold in my portfolio. For past few months, I have started purchasing 1 gm of SGB every month like a SIP from secondary market.

Big avoid no premium listing around 1300 to 1350

This IPO has 50% Quota for Retail. I haven't seen any IPO before with 50% Retail quota, Any reasons? Experts?? . With recent events what's the possibility that this company will produce COVID vaccine? I see a huge opportunity here as allotment chances are also good.

Its 35% retail not 50%

What a Negative sentiment for the 3rd Largest API player in India. The Mistake is a Rich China Investor.
Well Paytm and 100 others have China Investment.
What's wrong if Chinese are rich and Buy Investment in Global Market. Fosun is Pharma have invested in Gland in 2017. Fosun have not taken over the management. The management is same led bt PVR Raju and his son.

Fosun owns many companies and Have a little control over Management. Fosun let companies work independently.REPORTERS ARE HAPPY WITH JAPANESE COMPANY INVEST IN BULLET TRAIN IN INDIA AND ARE SAD IN CHINA INVESTOR INVEST IN INDIA WHAT'S THE PROBLEM. Yes i am Worried about Army. But that's a 50 year old issue of border, which is Biggest Problem needs to be solved by both. India have border issue with all Neighborhood country. Being china is Ruled by Communists and Mainly dictatorship government.
XI is a politician and Wants to Rule Asia. He's not happy with Modi who have become a global Leader. Even India is getting in Manufacturing is hurting China with India market of 130 Crore People.

Gland is in India giving employment to many Indians and paying tax so I should not worry about being a Chinese company hence one should not cry for China China China
Secondly Gland Pharma 40 year old companies if you compared with divis which is trading at 85,000 crores valuation wheres where is gland is just just half of its size is just saying that only 25000 crore valuation on a long-term basis this company is growing the API sector is hot and its export into the US markets and even trying to enter the China markets even the India market is there in their hands so I believe that the evaluation of 25,000 cr is justified and looking forward for to the next three years this valuation is going to be a reasonable.

HenceI don't know about the listing it may be hundred rupees up or 200 rupees dow but long-term investors and I will definitely invest in this company consider the largest API company and into injectable business and reasonable valuation come back to divis lab lauras and Aarti which have rallied a lot post covid.

Talking on to the valuation the company never value itself on 1300 rupees share. It's a wrong guess. Bankers after looking at the road shows were confident that the company was evaluated 25000 crore rupees in array share price of 1500 rupees. It may a Grey Gimmick
If u see Global players or even Divis on FY 22 Basis it's coming at 23% cheaper than Global Peers


Grey is destroyed with no premium in the market one need to decide when to invest in IPO or on the day of listing or just wait for a month to settle down.

Out of that 97 % of shareholders, 75 % chunk is from Chinese investors who are booking profit from the OFS route.

Highly possible,
After this IPO, they can come up with a 100% working vaccine for CoVid and generate great wealth from that, and in parallel crashing worldwide (including Indian) Pharma companies (including this one too - Gland Pharma). That's why booking profits.

Possible, isn't it?

Rajkot sir, I read your full article. I do appreciate it also. As an investor, your argument whether china or any other country holds justified.
My only doubt is that a foreign investor brings in Foreign Currency @ 600/ share ( some where I read they made investment @600/ per share) and wants to take back the money @ 1500/ per share.
Does it not affect Foreign Currency Reserve of India?

These are very long term Investors who are keen to invest in Gland.

Only Worry is that ENAM group was not part of Lead bankers, hence they are not interested in IPO.

Thereafter Putting Brain in IPO is waste of Energy.

Gland Pharma trades at a 30x multiple while its global peers such as Recipharm and Lonza trade much higher at 44x and 55x respectively.

See the past of all Psu stock price before Buyback is very after the Buyback or OFS They's price is 50%down eg HAL, ONGC, COAL INDIA, NMDC you can see all data

Ofs and Buyback both are exactly opposite to each other , need not to be compared.

When 100% shares are taken by company, there is no meaning of share price after buyback.
