@ Manjitsingh, IEX k 1st day ka poor subscription figure dekh kar lagta hai ki longo ne aapki baat maan le hai aur GIC k liye fund bacha kar rakh LIYA hai. Disclaimer - I will also apply through all my 04 accounts in GIC.
I think all depends upon QIB / HNI Response...if they goes well , good chances to get listing profit...so that can be decided on last day.. lets hope best..... Wait n Watch......................
Money. Making is very tough. Nowdays. In. Icici Lombard. Sbi life. Hardly any person applied for 1 lakh or 2 lakh amount. Application. because. Of negative listing fear while allotment was almost. full in both the issues. Sbi life listing was not bad. compare to Icici lombard
But here in GIC, retail has a 5% discount cushion. Therefore, we are reasonably safe. Both SBi and Lombard listed almost at par and are almost at par even today.
Real benefit is 5% discount and firm allotments. All the Research houses are also positive on this GIC
Do not much rely on 5% discount.. Even high networth investor planning to apply under RII category so that they can enjoy discount so that on listing day everyone have similar price share i.e 867 rs..!! Just like discount not even given!!
i am new to the Forum- help would be appreciated. If I apply at Cut Off Price (912 INR), and if allotment is processed at a lower price than the Cut Off Price (e.g. 865 INR), then will I be allotted based on my higher bid price or the lower allotment price? And how does the discount work in this case?
IEX is risky Ipo in my opinion bcoz there is no kostak. and premium is just rs 70 who will. take risk to earn just for 500 rs. In case of dixon starting premium. was. 500 rs issue price is almost similar in both issues see the difference .in both issues guys

Both IEX and GIC look dicey from grey market dullness point of view. But if one has to choose between these two, GIC looks far better for 3 reasons:
1. All the research houses have given positive ratings and recommend to apply. 2. Addition safety of Rs. 45 per share to Retail Investors. 3. Firm allotment chances due to large size. Even we can try for full 2 lac application and earn 10k provided the share list @ 912 (at par listing, being consercative).

I enquired GMP in Mumbai. It''s 16-18 (negative). Meaning Rs. 27-29 for retail investors (after adjusting discount of 45). Although I strongly recommend to ignore grey market premium, I quoted the same for knowledge of forum members.
