Though lot of negativity on table for this scrip, without debating on it, let me put some positive points

-Its diversified portfolio, spread well across segments, thus risk divided, with proven track record of years
-Growth seen substantially in it’s “agri -segment” since last two years, due to PM’s agri insurance scheme. Health insurance is next.
- Further this is reinsurance business, and such stellar show is worthy, even overall growth may look stagnant - its displaying strong position after entry of such aggressive competitors over year
- Presence outside India with tie-ups

On subscription figures, REMEMBER THE SIZE OF IPO and hence the money to flow-in for one time subscription in each category
-Also there had been queue of IPOs upfront which absorbed some amount
- HNI/NIIs generally comes afterwards at EOD of last day, after yesterday''''s Godrej allocation this point have higher weightage
- DII can even buy later-on in such assured business, fortunately QIB filled on Day-1 (whatsoever reason discussed) so others are going to fill their portfolio with this in due course of listing. Such stable profit giving scrip could not be ignored in MF portfolios.

In my opinion, these points are enough to justify that there is nothing wrong in applying at least one lot per account as we do for other IPOs

Don''t apply at lower price. If ipo is undersubscribe in retail then retail portion is allocated to QIB. QIB is already over subscribe at cutoff price.

Apply at upper band and 1 lot, RII quota to subscribe 1X for sure. Thus no point in blocking more amount

As per market news GIC subscriber 1.80-2.25 Times at cut off rate.
So don''t apply at lower price band... If apply lower price band than no chance to get allotment of any shares...

As retail segment subscribed only for 16%, will I get allotment of I bid on lower band(-45)? Any chances of allotment OR it always has to be on highest value?
373. MARKET KING |   Link |  Bookmark | October 13, 2017 11:26:37 AM
If I applied at lower price band and retail quota do not subscribe full, will I get allotment?

Thanks in advance

The amount invested should not be more than Rs. 2 lac. for RII.
373.14. Good Brother |   Link |  Bookmark | October 13, 2017 12:32:47 PM
You can apply higher rate ,if rates decided on lower end then share will be alloted at lower rate and excess amount refunded. Now a days refunds are made within 7 days of IPO closure and 95% applications are of 1 lot only in retail, so better apply at cut off rate

It''s not solvency ratio....it''s combined ratio fallen to 98 this quarter...look at loss ratio to know what you want...it is 81....so premium received is more than claim settled.....

ha ha ha u don''t know the retro business of reinsurance, Gic not only spread his all risk to the whole world through the retro session but also making the good profit from his investment.
all insurance company in India pass their risk (part risk) and premium to Gic.

@prashant , 14 lots u can apply

@ankur , i am applying ,,,,,,in worse case listing will be @850 around.....17 rs. exit with loss not a big........

market se khub kmaya h to ...itna loss to bear krna ana chahiye !! risk loge tbi paisa bnega

So many different view on this ipo..some saying apply some avoid.....better to not listen anyone....& apply as risky bet !!

if no discount to retailers...i clearly avoid....but here 45 rs. discount so its a safe point to exit if listing below estimation.

Please read this, Reinsurance or for that matter insurance companies will face losses during black swan events, so that does not mean we will not invest in insurance companies.
