All recent Listings were in line with the GMP. From iLombard to MAS. Grey market is getting efficient at price discovery. Listing hence shoulder be aground 890-5. I''m gonna sell my 4 full allotments at 900+.
Those small investors that bid at cut off or 910+ should get allotment in full .. If not then technical issue like wrong pan or demat details errors so u can complain to sebi , for non allotment...
Finally lets see if and for how long will the govt bodies like LIC manage the market to keep GIC afloat above 900 ... else this will be a huge embarrassment for Modi govt ... as small investors will feal cheated if it goes below 875..
I applied for 1lot at cut off price frm hdfc sec. App my amt. Is still on hold, not debited and there is no info about allotment on karvy website, how to know i got allotment or not??

Bhai when ipo is not even fully subscribed and you have applied at cut off price then obviously you will get allotment....HDFC bank is taking time...my amount also still blocked in that but many other banks have debited amount...
GIC IPO will not be listed at discount. Govt. of India wishes to further it''s disinvestment process. GIC is a GOI disinvestment, if the retail investors suffer any loss in this IPO on the day of listing, the retail investors will be demotivated to subscribe to any other IPO by any PSU in a short future period. This will hamper the disinvestment target of the GOI. To avoid any such demotivation and thereby reluctance of the retail investors in the future, the GOI will ensure that the retail investors don''t suffer in any manner for atleast a short forseable period. Thus GOI will put its financial institutions on standby and order them to buy at amounts that don''t hurt the retail investors. The GOI can also gift the retail investors in DIWALI by giving away profits by raising the listing price, so as to promote more retail participation for future IPO''s of govt. PSU''s. In any manner what so ever, it does not seem that GIC will list at a discount. Also, if this opens at a discount, the retail participants who have just started to open up their wallets thereby contributing to the oversubscriptions to the IPO may again close their wallets. Institutional investors and HNI’s who have profited heavily from the IPO season this year, cannot afford to lose the retail enthusiasm, they are also well aware of the fact that if this opening hurts retail investors, they may not be able to make much earning in the forthcoming IPO’s and hence they will also ensure not to let this IPO list at a discount. This IPO was undersubscribed by retail investors and the GOI and other financial institutions will make it a point by giving huge profits to the retail subscribers so that those who missed it would regret it and not miss future IPO’s.
Dont have such thoughts. This is market. Market doesnt go by any sentiments. It will purely go by valuations. It wont be a surprise also if it lists at below 600 levels. Please stay away from market if you have any such sympathetic expectations from Jaitley.
Don''t expect gic would trade at discount, around 2500cr invested by only retail investors which is more than the other ipo''s total issue amount includes all types of investors.
Don''t forget GIC is market leader in re insurance and virtually no major competition, don''t ever compare with ICICI Lombard or SBI life

GIC''s valuations are attractive @27 PE. Moreover, the current year is a good monsoon year with near''NIL'' claims from agriculture sector. Will surely give good gains after listing at least till 31st October.
GIC allotment done, tomorrow credited in demat and on Wednesday listing at around 942-952 if huge mutual fund buying come then 1011. GIC is food for big players and party for retialers, retailers applied single lots can hold for long term. It must list in Green colour.
Yes 855 no allotment. I think only 912 allotment done(without discount). So even if someone bid at 911, didn''t get any allotment. That''s why wanted to check basis of allotment. I think for price discovery, all bids are included (RII+HANI+QIB). If including all 3 category complete issue is subscribed at upper band, than price will be set at upper band only. Doesn''t matter if Retail quota subscribed or not.
Would like to know experts comments here of if anyone has link to basis of allotment ?
i had applied for 2 lot using ASBA of central bank I got msg that 27444 rs has been deducted please tell me your opinion about opening price. This is my first IPO
