This is really good tool.

Currently input for HNI Over-subscription (Times). From there 15 columns are shown with Incremental of collection. Suggestion to provide few columns on decremental side as well (5 on decremental +10 on incremental) and highlight the default column like it is highlighted 8%. This will help to review if oversubscription get lower on side.

In c/o supra pacific, I am allotted @Rs.17.20 though I have submitted the bid @Rs.18.60. Sir, l am not allotted any shares in one or two occasions when I have submitted the bids at cut off price where they were oversubscribed so many times. Sir, I am just sharing my experience. I don’t have any intention to hurt you. I am extremely sorry had I caused any sort of inconvenience to you.

A few things to note:
If allotment is on price priority basis, and if the issue is getting oversubscribed, you need to revise your bid price to the minimum at which cumulative subscription touches the allowed subscription. This is dynamic and needs to be watched at least 15 minutes before closure. If at that time the price bid at which issue is getting subscribed, revise the bid to twice that amount at least as during the last 10 minutes bids will get revised at rapid pace. It doesn’t apply where allotment is on proportionate basis ; also where allotment is on price priority basis but issue is undersubscribed.

Prasad ji, please enlighten me whether shares are allotted @ Rs.165.50Ps or @ the bid price in c/o NMDC ifs. I am unable to arrive at as no particulars in my trading account (SBI SMART). Thank you very much in anticipation of your prompt response.

If you applied for a price higher than 165.50 , you are allotted at the applied price. If applied at 165.50 or cut off , then allotment is at 165.50 as it it was subscribed by around 72%. Please check in trade book or order details.

Thanks. For academic and actual understanding, allotment is either on "Price Priority" or "Proportionate". As explained above by another well read member,

In "Proportionate" all those applied at either cut off or any price bid at and above floor price are allotted at floor price in quantities proportional to level of oversubscription. Say 100 is floor price with 1000 as available shares, if oversubscribed 20 times, those applied for 400 shares will be allotted 20(5%) shares at price100. In this case one does not need to monitor price levels of bids on day of OFS. One has to check oversubscription levels just before closing say 5 to 10 minutes before and revise the bid quantity from an approximate estimation.

"Price Priority" is bit tricky. it allots to highest price bid with all quantities applied for and continues to allot quantities to next lower bid and so on till all quantities are exhausted. Thus, one needs to keep monitoring the cumulative number of shares bid at above floor price in reference to bid price. If all cumulative quantity with higher price exceeds the offered quantity at floor price, then no allotment is made to those applying at cut off and floor price. Any remaining quantity after allotting to those with bid at higher price, is allotted proportionately to floor price and cutoff.

Now here is the catch. Initially retail were required to bid at fixed price and an year ago SEBI brought in cutoff system for retail, as retail investors do not have adequate real time information on price bid levels. It was meant for the offeror to arrive at weighted average price of the bids , first allot to all those who applied at higher price than weighted average and then allot rest to all cut off applications. Anyone that applied below weighted average price (non cutoff) are not allotted. But from experience , we observed that registrars don''t follow this and often cutoff bids don''t get allotment in oversubscribed issues whereas specific price bids higher than floor price estimated from cumulative quantity real time does. Thus "Cutoff" here is not same as in IPOs.

hope this offers some clarity. Others with better understanding can add to anything missed out here that will help, when applying next OFS.

understood how it works during oversubscription ... but incase of NMDC it is undersubscribed . I applied at cut off price ,but if I had applied at lesser value than cut off price , would they have allocated to me?
