BASIS OF ALLOTMENT IS PUBLISHED ON THE CAPITAL MARKET WEBSITE. I HAVE COPIED THE RETAIL PART BELOW.
A) ALLOCATION TO RETAIL INDIVIDUAL BIDDERS The Basis of Allocation to the Retail Individual Bidders, who have bid at cut-off or at the Issue Price of Rs. 64/- per Equity Share, was finalized in.consultation with NSE. The Company has received 343579 valid applications for 225605400 Equity Shares in this category resulting in 11.04 times subscription. The category-wise details of the Basis of allotment are as under:
Mr Smit, The rule of thumb while applying for any IPO is that if the retail portion dets oversubscribed above 15 times, the chances for a person applying for max shares would be below 100% and if it is lesser than 15 times, the probability would be 100%. If the subscription is around 11-12 times or even lesser, the number of shares would be more then the minimum lot size. I have seen the basis of allotment of a few IPOs and have done all the calculations to arrive at this rule.
Hi Smit, You must not apply for more than Rs. 1,00,000/= . Retail category has larger quota and hence always least over subscribed. hence chances of getting are always more. However in case of very subscription, it will be lottery for all.
Hey Guys. When applying in IPOs the maximum retail bid is 100000 Rs. What if I want to apply for more so that the probability of getting allotment is more? Would I have to do that in Non Institutional Category? But does that mean that I will be competing against people who would have applied with lot more money. And if you look at the oversubscription the Non Institutional category always gets oversubscribed more than Retail. So what is the best bet to get more allotment??????? All suggestions appreciated.. Didn't get any in FirstSOURCE :(.
