you can get overdraft on your fd in all major banks that is what i do

ICICI, YES and KOTAK banks do provide this facility..

Vimal Garodia, what are the applicable charges for this overdraft in Kotak, ICICI & Yes bank?

PavanM, i was talking about applying IPO using linked FD without breaking it, not overdraft facility..

I have no idea about overdraft charges, sorry about that confusion..

overdraft charges are usually 2% what of what you are getting from your fd suppose you are getting 7% on your fd then you will be charged 9%

​@PavanM If you link fd to savings account, you don't need to take overdraft.

​@German Yes bank has withdrawn ASBA support for minor account. They are classifying minor as third party which is not logical as per the definition of third party. I tried to explain this thing but they don't wanted to understand. If you have opened account for only minor ASBA; yes bank is a wrong choice, close the account and open somewhere else as I did.

​@Nifty Singh @German I don't think so..my son's account is in yes bank under my guardianship..I have updated his Pan card and added prostocks demat account. I am regularly applying IPOs through his account and recently got allotment in Blue jet and mama Earth..

Nifty Singh, where did you open bank account in ur kids name to apply for IPOs ?

I am having yes first and my demat is already linked in that account.. when I log in there are two accounts shown in net banking..one is mine and other one is my son's account. I added his demat account through ipo add applicant in his account..so when I apply through asba both accounts are shown and I choose one of them and connected demat to apply..hope it helps

​@German As per the policy of RBI no bank can offer debit cards to minors; therefore technically no bank can offer UPI for IPO of minors in India as of today. For them, it's only ASBA (online or paper). @Anshujii  Yes bank software automatically disabled my minor account.  I approached their local team (branch), and customer care (Bombay) but those ignorant, ill-informed staff couldn’t provide the solution. Instead of spending my valuable energy to crack those hard nuts, I switched the bank.  @PavanM Now I am using RBL online ASBA (After the suggestion of a gentleman in Chittorgarh) for applying on my son's name. German you can try to update the minor PAN in his account and if the YBL software reflects the option for a minor then no need to change the bank as suggested by Anshuji. Hope I am clear.

How r u applying?? Through ASBA or UPI?
If applying through ASBA then kindly check demat account details you have fed into ASBA. It happened with me, 2 digits of client id were misplaced.

Brother recheck your demat account number. It is not correct as per my personal experience and also there is a dot in name place which happened with me once. So check the demat account number

It does not seem to be related to you not getting any allotment, some people do not get allotment for years, just luck..

Bhai ek nya account open karwa lo, Kai baar kisi kisi account me nhi aata kitna bhi kar lo.
Mere pass pahle ek account the usme aata th allotment kabhi kabhi, phir upstox me open Kiya but Aaj Tak ek bhi allotment nhi aayapichle 2 saal se.

@Healthslayer bro same here ...one and only SME I received was AATMAJ which was lossmaking...after that till now no SME ...such a bad luck.

​@Heathslayer Don't worry. I have not been allotted any SME for more than 5 years. Still applying. If we have fund, use it. Apply and forget. Funds are in the Bank and getting savings interest. Nothing lost. If you apply, there is a chance for allotment, if you don't. You can just imagine. Both are sailing in the same boat.

Also we all know its just Luck by chance i received allotment... Most important is Aapka Luck Chalna chahiye Lucky draw ke time.

If you are talking about Anil Singhvi of Zee Business, it is better to take his words with pinch of salt. This guy was confident about huge listing gains during LIC IPO and results are there for everyone to see. No harm listening to so called experts but one should ultimately take own call when it comes to money matters.

In Stock Market, Experts are "As Good As" any body else.

In some that is 30% they are correct which can be predicted by any normal involved person in stocks ...
