If allotment comes today than Listing on Friday. T+3 may hoga. Monday ko new year kahi pe hai kahi pe Tuesday ko new year and Bhai duj dono hai..

Exactly 12 lakhs or you can arrange for 50-60k more ?
If yes, you can go for 6sHNI applications.
If not, then you can apply 1bHNI and 5 remaining retail.

If you have just one/two or even 3 demat accounts, it will always be better to apply in bHNI.
If you can apply through multiple accounts, then keep an eye on subscription figures.
For an equal level of oversubscription, chances for each bHNI is equivalent to 5sHNI.
So in effect if bHNI subscription is equal to or more than sHNI (like in this IPO), then apply from 5 sHNI accounts.

On the contrary if sHNI is oversubscribed significantly more than bHNI, then apply from 1 bHNI and if fund allows apply from retail from rest of accounts.

Mind you there can be other permutations and combinations that may be beneficial. Calculate n see which is giving best chances on the final day of any IPO n then apply.

You got Shni minimum (14 lots )only by lottery system..

It can yield more lots only if the issue is undersubscribed in the bHNI category else bHNI category only gets the minimum sHNI lots regardless of the number of lots applied.

Example for oversubscribed issues, if I apply 100 lots and you apply 67 lots, then issue its considered two applications and both have equal chances. I hope this explains

@GrayIsTheNewBlack My dilema is right now if I apply for Protean, I won't be able to apply for ASK if the ESAF amount is not released (in case of non-allotment) tomorrow. Should I apply for Protean expecting the hold release by tomorrow noon? or skip Protean and go for ASK instead?

​@Nothing New You have limited funds then you shld not apply for protean, it wont get unblock in time for Ask auto. On the contrary Protean will have good allotment ratio than ASK , as all the ESAF funds will get dump in ASK auto issue.
So choose allotment wise easy issue. Cheers
