If u do not have capacity to hold for med term then better sell and pocket 2-3% ..listing positive itself an achievement after poor response from NII/qib. ....meaninful return after med term only imo.
Eris is next S Chand... Disclaimer : I did not apply nor I will buy at any cost from market.
Guys this issue never make any sense ... people are mad for IPO... People are finding useless reasons to justify loot of Promoters... like this issue is highly overpriced... and punters are saying it is debt free company works in Indian Market ... Can you explain weather it is better than Abbott, Novartis India and similar other MNC pharma which are listed in India to sell products in India only and are cash rich with established brands... So why one sensible guy will buy this at double the price of others...Regarding growth/CAGR, which we all knew is how much manipulated to milk returns through IPO exists...
What are you saying? Novartis trading at 620 has 31 million shares (FV 5) out there and made a profit of 190 Cr on 800 Cr top line. Eris has 28 million shares made a profit of 275 Cr at 750 Cr top line and still you think the scrip is overpriced? Abbot trading at 4200 (FV10) has 2.1 million shares and made 275 crore from selling 3000 Cr top line. If after looking at these numbers, you can''t see the light then god bless you for the intelligent choices you are making. I haven''t even talked about debt as that has been discussed too much already.
Raynmaker you seems like an Knowledgeable person :) Can you please elloborate listing price ?? Is it gonna open in premium, than how much ? If discount, than how much ? And how long to hold or other necessary data.
Thanks.
Kenny

i think i agree with you.. even though raymaker.. novartis is a global company.. people dont exit novartis and hold on for years which will not happen in case of eris.. i am sure the ipos of 2016 and 2017 will all be punctured in a few years.. so eris is highly overpriced for a ahmedabad based company!!
@pokemongo as far as ahmedabad based companies go, I am sure you are following infibeam, which tripled in value inside a year, when there were enough naysayers around. For eris, every single opinion maker of note has come out and said buy. This includes prudes like tulsiayan. @kenny of course if I claim to know the opening price tomorrow, I would be speculating. Market is down and some fools might have just invested and now needing their money badly after nifty slips since last two days. So I will just say that I am not letting go of my 6000 shares for anything below 1000; even then, I will book partial profits to recover cost and then hold the rest for long term
I had applied for maximum lots in retail category at cut off price. How is it that I''ve received nil allotment? Is it possible or something is fishy in allotment process?
No... If issue is oversubscribed then allotment will be on lottery basis. ...If u applied in HNI category (more than 2 Lakh) then you will be able to get 100% allotment as HNI category was not fully subscribed.
when retail gets oversubscribed each applicant gets maximum of 1 Lot, regardless of the no. of lots applied in the application on lottery basis. ie. there is no advantage to apply for multiple lots in oversubscribed (retail) ipos. (assuming the applications are made in same name)
The last ipo which went under-subscribed and still did well was Indigo, and I had got all 3 lots applied at cut-off. One of my colleague also applied but since his application was lesser than cutoff he got zero allotment! eventhough the retail category was under-subscribed!
@Fugit Agreed! Its oversubscribed in retail category , in that case my understanding is, they try to allot at least one lot to each applicant and then provide additional lots who have applied for more than one lot, of course only if the quantity allows. Isn''t that correct ?
@Value Seeker That is correct, you had equal chances as any other applicant since the no. of applications at cutoff was clearly more than 1x for retail category. I had also applied for one lot and did not get allotment, i feel nothing fishy here since the lottery probability should have been around 1/3 or at best 1/2.5.
