Who is the fraud who was denied commission? Were u there when the so called stooge asked for commission? N who is the stooge who said apply in HCG? Have guts to name him. Don''t do hawaii firing. Do u think all this nautanki of urs will effect anyone?
Shree Pushkar & PNC Infra are 2 IPOs which have not only given fabulous returns in such a short time but are also aligned to the high growth sectors I prefer. I regret that I wasn''t around at the time of their IPOs & now their price is beyond my investment appetite.
Do not worry u will get more opportunities in coming years every year these opportunities come last year we had 4 such issue and in all u could get good allotment given HNI and RII and QIB was hardly subscribed as said I hope equitas is the same and apply track if this is not oversubscribed
dear eagleye....where r u....since long back u r absent for today...give some news aboutt equitas...do u track sme ipo....ithink u might tracking sme ipo there r many ...write something about that..
EHL - If you have 4 to 5 applications in retail category and you are not long term investor then I suggest sell your application in grey market. Rs. 1300 to 1400 is very good price. Becaof huge demand retail category will also over subscribed by minimum 4 times and allotment is hard, one to five or one to four ratio. On listing day it will give maximum 20 percent return.
Septa sir, REG: Your msg 189.3. Septa Mar 31, 2016 1:36:49 AM IST PSU and private bank.
What are the specific stocks in particular you suggest in PSU and private bank? Any time horizon? Do you still think it would run up more from current levels becaof FII flow?

Septaji, IMO the recent rally in metals is not sustainable with falling demand from China & no material increase in domestic demand. Some protectionist measures have been taken by the Govt (import duty, anti-ing duty on certain grades etc) but this doesn''t justify the recent increase in metal stocks. It''s time will come, no doubt, but it''s clearly not now- fundamental wise... I am myself looking to enter at opportune time.
Banks- Private banks like ICICI are indeed a very rewarding investment but the PSB space is again dicey. PSBs have not yet recognized & provisioned for the NPAs fully. SBI''s reported Gross NPA is only 5.5% whereas I expect it to be at least 8%-9% - I''ve worked with SBI & discussed this with my colleagues there. I find the rally in SBI indigestible even as I''m benefiting a lot from this having taken position (in both SBI & ICICI) at very low prices.
So, Metals & PSBs like SBI are due for a correction IMO- perhaps this will happen when FY16 results are out in 1st half of May.

metal has over short so correction for sure however bank i still see big gain both short term long term.... the present valuation is way below fair value.... with economy growing at 7% to 8 % bank would play important roll. so Imo metal will correct however bank still have steam for at least another 20% from here short term.... plus 20% of weightage to the index is banks if index need to see new high bank also need to see new high...

it is offering at a price which is better then listed micro finance Imo this will be good issue to retail investor should apply at least the asking price is reasonable and lot is left on the table would not be surprised seeing a 20% premium on listing.... I am applying if RII is not over subscribed i will apply in full force and may apply on HNI...
One thing we need to understand here the offer price is below then fair value so upside is for sure it is better then many issue which came recently..... One negative i have is FII selling from 93% to 35% however someone explained that this is bcoz they r not allowed to participate in the IPO and to participate in the IPO they have to reduce FII to 49% with extra or new issue this FII stake is further reduce to 35%
Now take SKS FII holding is around 53% via FII promoters NRI so if u have believe the market FII will try to back to increase stake also govt is planing to increase FDI 100% in private banks ( http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/business/india-business/Govt-mulls-raising-FDI-limit-in-private-banks-to-100/articleshow/48996661.cms ) so given this micro i am bullish bet on this equitas
however wait till 2pm on the last day and then apply

Also presently financial sector is at dogs the valuation is at dogs take PNB market is approx 16,798.58 Cr assets it has 603,333.60 Cr so even if NPa is in double digit after write off this bank will give 6500 cr at least.... this is case in almost all bank i know NPA is a issue and big issue but IMO the valuation i see does not make sense if i am a betting man money in ext decade will be made in financial sector
it is long term bet but a safe bet for a multi bagger

i have already told in forum during QH and HCG i will put my bets on metal and PSU and private bank so i hold sizeable investment in this sector both trading position and portfolio position.... after budget this two sectors have jumped anywhere between 20% to 40% in a month however looking at what FII r buying i see big upswing
And equitias well within this theory of financial assets.... with negative interest in euro zone japan money will move to such assets IMO
Hinduja Leyland Finance, an arm of Ashok Leyland, has filed draft papers with capital markets regulator Sebi to raise at least Rs 500 crore through the initial share sale.
The initial public offer (IPO) comprises fresh issue of equity shares worth Rs 500 crore and an offer for sale up to 26,608,810 scrips by existing shareholders
Equitas Holdings Ltd has fixed the dates when it’s shares would be offered to the public through an IPO. The Equitas IPO would open on the 5th April,2016 and close on the 7th April, 2016. The company received an approval from SEBI in January 2016 for its Draft Red Herring Prospectus.
It has fixed a price band of Rs Rs 109-110 per equity share of face value Rs 10 and it hopes to raise Rs 2,176 Crore at the upper end of the price band. Out of this amount raised Rs 720 Crore will accrue to the company through a new issue of shares while the remaining Rs 1456 Crores will go the foreign investors who are selling their stake in the company. If you are keen to know the allotment status of your Equitas IPO application subscribe to our newsletter in the sidebar to receive daily updates.
History of Equitas Microfinance
The company was setup in 2007 as an NBFC by Mr P. N Vasudevan and has it’s head office in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. After the Andra Pradesh Microfinance crisis in 2010, the company started offering vehicle and housing loans to diversify its portfolio. In comparison to it’s peers, Equitas is placed in the 8th place with regard to branch network and it had 361 Branches as of March 2015. This is a fraction of the more than 2000 branches that Bandhan Bank operates through. Equitas also had a loan portfolio outstanding at Rs 2144 Crore at the end of FY2014-15. You can read a detailed report on Indian Microfinance Companies and the state of the Microfinance sector at the link below:

5 Reasons which you should not invest in Equitas Microfinance’s IPO
Lack of Promoters Faith in the Company. The promoter P. N Vasudevan holds a meagre 3.5% stake in the company, but that is not deterring him from offering more of his shares for for sale in the IPO. It represents a complete lack of confidence from the founder and promoter in the future of the company. Most promoters hold on to their stock becathey always believe that the company will be worth more in the future, but not Mr Vasudevan, it seems he is more interested in cashing out when the time is right.
Uncertain future of the Equitas Microfinance Bank. About 10 microfinance companies have been issued small finance bank licenses by the Reserve Bank of India till late last year. Most of these 10 banks are going to begin their operations in 2016. Now competition is going to heat up among small banks and this will negatively affect profit margins. While the consumer will benefit, investors who invest in such companies may not get an attractive return in the medium term.
Foreign Investors Cashing Out The current foreign investor shareholding in the company stands at 93% and this will drop down to 35%. The RBI requires microfinance companies to have less than 50% foreign shareholding before it issues it the bank license. While Equitas microfinance may get the bank license, retail investors must consider what motivates foreign investors.
Remember when Sequoia sold us an inflated lemon called SKS Microfinance Yes, this is another of the marquee companies from Sequoia Capital’s famed stable. SKS Microfinance in 2010, came out with an IPO with an issue price of Rs 985 and sold a large number of shares to the gullible public who lapped it up. Within 6 months the stock was trading below Rs 500 becaof the Andhra Pradesh Microfinance crisis.
Murmurs of another crisis in the Microfinance Sector of India In January 2016 , the Wire magazine published a scathing indictment detailing how the sector was lurching towards another microfinance crisis becaof multiple lending. It remains to be seen if this is going to blow up soon.
Who can invest in the Equitas IPO ?
Those who have a long term outlook of 5-10 years. India is a growing economy and it’s banks no doubt will play an important role in its future. Those looking for listing gains, as such issues are controlled by FII’s and banks, you could expect to make nominal listing gains. Also since the share price is low, one could expect a significant pop in the prices on listing day. Some FII’s could be selling becaof RBI guidelines which mandates that banks have less than 49% holding, in this case they could end up buying from the open market after the listing, driving up share prices. The company’s share sale issue might be oversubscribed and the allotment ratio might not be favorable for retail investors. Such investors might then buy when the Equitas share lists and this could lead to a rise in the share price. You can read the Company’s DRHP and take a final call on whether it is worth investing in this company.
