Applying retail here and in Winny - no funds left @Mannat

​@rohiitian - seems like most of us chased Durlax and GEM Enviro.
This seems comparatively easy allotment (as of now) but unfortunately no funds are left to apply large HNI application.

​@GrayIsTheNewBlack Yes truly surprising. There was still 4000 cr of funds available after Friday applications for HNI. Maybe much of it will still come in last 45 mins?

I am small investor, applied 2 retail application.

Not applying any of the SME IPOs these days, as parking funds for personal financial requirements by end of this month. But company is good, and it will bring in good returns on listing as well as after that.

​@rohiitian with 2 mainboards also closed on friday, portion of 4k Cr would have gone to mainboard as well.
I applied thinking of rotation such that maximum amount can be applied in Petro Carbon and Chem (due to its size) along with covering all the mainboards (Dee -> Stanley -> Allied)
21 June -> 25 June -> 27 June

I'm going to try and get multiple lots in Mason and Sylvan (though both GMPs have now started). If theyre looking like higher subs, will focus on just one of them. But will target 3-4 lots if subs are low enough. Plus the usual BHNI lottery in Stanley and Allied. Might go with small HNI lots in Petro and hope for the best.

​@rohiitian - Haha, yes I have kind of (mostly will go sHNI from all accounts, thereby not blocking too much fund in mainboard as my IPO capital has reduced now)
Prima facie Sylvan will have the best chance of allotment among all, I haven't looked at RHP yet but saw newgen's post on X highlightling some issue.
I'm sure you would have analyzed the RHP thoroughly by now.

My worry with Sylvan is that historically the biz has been stuck at 220-240 cr revenue for several years pre-Covid. Post covid the biz fell and is ramping back to that same level, so the last 4 years numbers look great in isolation because of low base, but promoters have struggled to scale beyond. Nevertheless valuations look alright, so seems a safe bet @GrayIsTheNewBlack

This is not a straight question and thus cannot have straight answer. There are so many IFs and BUTs to answer this.

The only thing IT department is bothered about is declaration of capital gain and payment of tax thereon, it may happen so it may or may not pertain to person who's received it; there's provision in ITR where you can declare such income too now a days (even if it is not received in your account). But again, it is not as straight as we speak here.

For Mainboard IPO's
sHNI is even more oversubscribed compared to retail these days. sHNI is mostly 5% quota.
sHNI allotment is tough to get and depends on luck in lottery.

All categories get heavily oversubscribed nowadays. If allotment is mostly on lottery basis, more applications will have better success rate. Rope in all resources if too desperate - family, friends, minor, HUF, house maid, gardener, press walah, milkman, vegetable vendor, driver .....

SHNI, very less chances of allotment but more profit, take your call..

​@Iranna Don't take me otherwise, but that's what some people advise to have as many accounts to have better chances of allotment. I too wonder, how people manage 20 or 30 a/cs as they claim in CG forum.
To the question, there can not be a standard strategy that works in all the IPOs between choice of sHNI and retail. Take for example, Vodafone Idea where retail got full and confirmed allotment whereas some of sHNI could not get anything in lottery. If someone can manage funds, general preference could be
bHNI, sHNI and retail in that order.

@Chhote Lal - to be honest I was suprised at our first message. The second one was a soothing one. I do understand. Yes some ppl put bids from 20+ acs if their claim is right - dont know how they're able to manage it IPO after IPO. For self, will continue with 2 retail now and hopefully will go as per bidding order mentioned by you soon
