just received the message from cdsl that the shares has been credit in my demat account

Dear Friends,

After 1 July, here are few fact sheet of EIL shareholding

68 New MF invested in EIL
27 New Banks invested in EIL
17 New Insurance Companies invested in EIL
80 New FII entered in EIL

And interesting thing is that, most of them are long on EIL being Infrastructure related story.

I advice to shareholder (who are long) not to press panic button seeing intraday fluctuation due to high accumulation/high shorting ( post FPO ).

Disc. I am long with 140 Shares.

It seems most of the traders were trapped in eil. i have been allotted 119 shares but they are yet to shown up in my icicidirect demat. what will be the strategy on tomorrow if i will be able to sell my ipo shares at opening? anyone please let me know. I have no other positions in eil except the ipo shares.

@SKC, the shares are allotted to the accounts as i have checked my account at 6:30 pm..may be icici accounts are taking more time....check now or try after 10 pm

Disinformation on EIL shares credited to Demat accounts is indeed deploreable. Both my Demat accounts in HDFC Securities and ICICI Direct have not seen any allotment in my/family's accounts as of now. This is indeed immoral and unethical.

One more thing. My broker says the shares sold on Monday will come for auction on Thursday, but you say it will be on Friday. Please clarify.

Now that I am caught on the wrong foot, if the shares come into the demat accounts tonight or tomorrow before market opening definitely there will be selling pressure and so I am going to use the opportunity to buy. If as you have informed, the shares come to the accounts only after 11 am tomorrow the prices will go up in the morning and I am going to sell my allotment which I sold already on Monday as those shares will be auctioned. Tell me if it is the correct strategy or not. But I have learned one lesson. I tried to be smart. The registrars and the Govt. have proved they are oversmart!

You should not have taken much tension for it as you have not done naked short sell.Even If your shares were auctioned it would not have been any problem to you.You had to pay auction charges only.You can comfort yourself by thinking that instead of 315 I sold at 312.5,It does not make any difference.Even if your shares were covered at 400 no problem.Bcos you can still sell shares at that price only.I do BTST frequently especially at the time of results.Sometimes my shares will not be credited to my demat account.I watch for auction on 5th day & sell shares in the afternoon of 5th day.So no worries.
You should only worry if at the time of auction the price is less than the price at which you shorted.

The shares are not credited to my demat account.
Are u people sure that the shares have got credited.
