I have bidded for 280 and 290 thru ICICI(online) for EIL. Will there be any allotment for me ? Or will it be allotted for only those who bidded for 290 ? I `m bit confused on this.If allotment is for only s 290 then why do we have option for bidding ? I`ve applied for 60 scripts.

Unfortunately you will not be alloted any shares.Bidding is done so that the demand for the Issue is ascertained at each price & the the price is fixed at the maximum price at which there is maximum demand.In Engineers India maximum applications came at 290 & hence it was fixed at that price.
