how you know they applied at lower price band?

I think around 99% applied at higher price. In most of the IPOs some investors are applying at lower price

@KDKing... I don't think so. only ~2.5 lacs shares applied at price lower to 256 out of over 3 Cr shares applied.... which I feel is normal.. No ?

its not big bid but QIB showing subscribed 4.05X at lower price band and 3.93X at upper price band. difference is 0.12, they might have applied deliberately to not to get allotment. This i have observed first time in QIB subscription trend.

Any quantity between 2 to 10 Lakhs is considered sHNI (1/3 of HNI portion is reserved for sHNI).

So you can apply upto 4 accounts in sHNI with a corpus of around 8.5 lakhs

Same rules which came after 1st April
Where hni is divided into two category
2- 10 lakhs (lottery)
Above 10 lakhs (lottery)
You may apply either 2 lakhs or 10lakh

just apply 14 lots fot sHNI and 68 lots if you want bHNI
generally if subscribe more than 1 time than lottery as per retail

But this is me only, ignore that Mentor tag, it has nothing to do with my knowledge level. It simply shows how active and old member you are. Ofcourse knowledge increases with every day passing and by interacting and posting new messages and responses to others.
But for me, it doesn't matter much.

minimum allotment in lottery is 14 lots, so make sure you can digest if it lists in discount , as loss will also be 14fold more than retail

My specific question was, to get allotment or increase chances, what should be the approach of SHNI and Retail?
If I apply in SHNI for Bid quantity 812 at price 256 and if allotted, how many shares I will be getting?

@GJ...a bit late for Mudra as HNi cutoff is 4 pm., but you can still try via edelweiss guest.

still to answer in short, in sHNI you apply for ~14 lots (amount ~ 2 lacs). If issue is poorly subscribed you will surely get 14 lots (full allotment) and if issue is heavily subscribed, you will be a part in lottery, in which if you win you will get 14 lot and if you loose you get Zero.

Btw,
I cancelled one of my retail applications of 1 lot in Zerodha and changed that to 14 lots. New mandate came, will take decision later, probably tomorrow.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I can digest that part as applying in SME from last approx 1 year so kind of familiar/imagine potential volatility here.

I updated my 1 retail application to SHNI of 14 lots before 4 PM only in Zerodha.

Also, NII category shows 1.28x for now. How to know SHNI and BHNI subscription separately to make sure apply or not?
